After an exhausting day of travel, we decided to stop at Culver's to pick up dinner before heading out to Ponce Inlet. The food quality, taste, and service are fantastic. We ordered an Atlantic Cod Fish Sandwich basket, a double mushroom burger basket, and a six-count fried shrimp only. After paying for our meal, we were asked to pull forward (which is expected as Culver's prepares their food fresh per order ). Our order was brought to our vehicle, and we pulled off. We reached our vacation home to discover that the fish sandwich was omitted. Called the location to speak with the manager on duty; William. After explaining to William we are missing a fish sandwich, he replied, "You should have checked your order before you pulled off," which I pretended not to hear. Eventually, he apologized and offered to stay open a little longer to prepare the fish sandwich. As it was 9:45p and the location closed at 10p, I didn't want to hold them up from leaving for the evening. I explained that we were sitting down to eat our dinner. We were tired from our travels and concerned about driving as it relates to my personal safety. He explained that he could refund me my money or provide me with a gift card that would arrive in the mail within seven business days to cover the cost of the missing meal. I explained that wouldn't be necessary as we reside in a different state. I went on to explain that I could come the following day to pick up the food. He agreed to the suggested time and that he would be there all day and asked for a time. I stated between 12p and 2p. Today, as our scheduled plans went over, I attempted to call William to inform him I am unable to make our previously discussed time. Could not get through via telephone. Typically, during lunch hours, it can be impossible to get folks to the phone during that time. I called again at 2:32p. I reached Ashley. I asked to speak with William, and she requested my name, which I provided, and then asked about the nature of my call, which I replied, "Is to speak with William. She went on to say that William is not in. He is off today. She went on to say she's a manager and can assist me. I began to explain the arrangement William and I made. However, I was abruptly cut off in mid sentence to explain their policy - if you didn't return that evening, I have an option to receive a gift card that will be mailed to my home. I thanked her for explaining the policy and went on to explain that this is not what has been communicated by the mamger; William. I requested for her to call William since he was off today to discuss what he said. Again? I was rudely cut off in mid sentence and unknowingly placed on hold. When she returned to the telephone, I could hear Wiiliams voice in the background, explaining to Ashley what was said. Ashley proceeded to tell me I could pick up the food that evening as William is here all night. She ended the conversation with, "You need to pick this up. You will be unable to get it after tonight." I have dinner reservations for this evening and have decided with the terrible customer service, the lie Ashley told, and the inability to accept any responsibility for the sandwich not being in the bag I don't want anything from this location. Matter of fact I pray that corporate reads this and takes the money I have given them for the purchase of my meal that I didn't receive and provide soft skills and customer service training will take this a long way location a long way. For the record: I've eaten at locations in Milwaukee, WI, various in Georgia locations, South Carolina, and North Carolina, and have experienced excellent customer service time and time again. Ashley made me feel I was attempting to scam them for free...
Read moreDouble check your order before you pull away from the drive thru. I'm at this Culver's two times a week. The food is good and the place appears clean. However, they have an extreme problem delivering what you order. This is the fifth and final time I have not received what I ordered. I usually stop on the way home from work between 9:40 to 10:30. Tonight I arrived about 10:50 PM. I placed the first part of the order without incident. I then ordered a bacon double cheeseburger sandwich only, all the way. The response I received was do you want a double or a single? I said double. I was then asked if I wanted a basket. I said sandwich only. I understand they are following the company script but listening is paramount here. If they want to upsell me that's fine if they can listen to what I'm saying. As I explain what want it would be nice if they listened. I pulled to the window and paid and received the drink. I received my order and drove home. When I arrived home I opened the bag and found the first half of the order was correct. I opened up the bacon double cheeseburger all the way and found it was a single burger. I knew something was up when the burger was in a wax wrap instead of a box. I checked the receipt and I was charged for a double. Of all nights I was quite hungry and I received not what ordered. This is extremely frustrating at the prices restaurants are charging these days.
One night I arrived home to find out my burger did not have a top bun! I was astonished and clearly do not understand how this happened. Three other times upon checking my order I received a single instead of a double. I called one night and asked to speak to the person in charge of the shift. The person answering said one moment and put me on hold. After 10 minutes I hung up the phone as no one ever picked up. The food is great but this is the fifth time l've not received what I paid for and or parts of my order have been missing. As consumers our only say is where we choose to spend our money. I choose not to spend my money at Culver's. When I boycott a business it's not just the particular store. will never step foot in a Culver's, anywhere, again. One thing I will not miss is dealing with the young lady who very often sits outside taking orders. She is in too much of a hurry and has a spunky attitude much like a law enforcement worker. Let's just say she doesn't have the personality to deal with the public. Perhaps she should be in the back cooking where she doesn't have to interact...
Read moreI have been seeing the Culver’s commercials on tv since December and thought I would give it a try. I went through the drive through at 12:30. They had two cashiers sitting under a tent by the menu board to take orders. Since they did not get up or address me, I did not know they were the order takers. I order two of the spicy chicken sandwich combos with sweet tea. The cashier took my order and my debit card payments. A sign was on the drive through window saying, pull forward. Two cars were parked at the end. The order came out within several minutes. The women delivering the order was red in the face and sweaty. I do no remember if she spoke to me or thanked me. The sweet tea was good, but the cup was full of ice and the straw did not want to push through the ice to the bottom of the cup. I grabbed a few fries from the bag, they were crinkle cut and hot. They were not salted or very lightly salted. I looked in the bag for some salt, no salt. There was ketchup, but I do not usually use ketchup. I finished the fries and open the spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken patty was thin and dry. The bun was nice but was crumbling, thank goodness for the bag inside the box. The sandwich had shredded lettuce and tomatoes but no mayonnaise. The sandwich and the chicken were dry, and no mayonnaise was in the bag, neither the order taker or the delivery person mentioned the sandwich was dry and did not come with condiments. Before I finished the dry sandwich my tea was finished. I still had half a cup of ice but no tea. I will probably try them again but may dine in so I can actually see the menu and ask questions. My first experience was not that great and when talking to the cashier at 7-11 she said she had a...
