I had a really unpleasant experience this morning at Krispy Kreme. I had driven 10 miles to get there. I got a message on my phone saying that if I did not use my rewards by Aug. 30th, I would lose them. I did not read the fine print saying you had to purchase a dozen to receive the free dozen. Since I had received the email, I thought it would be in the system. She did not bother telling me that I had to buy a dozen to receive my dozen. I had purchased 6 of a variety. When she totaled up my purchase she said that would be 18 dollars and some change. I said with my free dozen??? She said it did not come up that I was to receive a free dozen. I said I donât want the dozen glaze. She rolled her eyes at my grandson and of course all the other patrons in line. She finally asked this nice cashier, and she said I had to purchase a dozen to use the rewards for signing up. I was not told this, or I would have ordered 6 additional glaze to receive my dozen. I can honestly say I have never been treated like that at any K&K. I am not from the area, but I come to Ponce Inlet for a month every year, and my grandson looks forward to going. I have been going for K&K at that place since high school, and I graduated from USF, and I went to the one in Tampa and Orlando frequently. I was really embarrassed at the way I was treated. I always tip, and I turned to my grandson and even asked him, should I tip. He shook his head no. When I got in the car and I said I probably should have tipped, he said no GG she was rolling her eyes the whole time. By the way he is 11. I got so anxious, I had to re register because I could not remember my password.    Read moreFirst time in years that I stopped at this location. We were in the area though today, and decided to stop and get some donuts. Was actually looking for their vegan donuts, only to find out that they're only currently available abroad?? Don't get that, very disappointing, but ok. Needless to say, we got some donuts for family members. While there, did realize they have minis. đ Soooo....had to get one for my baby boy, Loki đŸ(who is in the pic...and no, he's never allowed treats like this as I'm VERY picky...but this was a one time special treat that he got a piece of). The place was clean, there was a big variety and availability of fresh, different donutsđ© (including special edition Barbie and seasonal...like pumpkin), and the staff was friendly and interactive. They also had their Krispy Kreme hats you could help yourself to, which, well....you'll notice in the pics đâșïž. The only "drawback" of this location, IS the location itself. It's just in an area of the city that isn't the greatest...very run down. It's been that way for quite a while. Nevertheless, that's the only negative, as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately there's not much they can do to rectify that...and as long as the management maintains it as I experienced it today, it's worth the stop!    Read moreKK is ALWAYS DELICIOUS & My favorite place ever for doughnuts BUTTTTTT when there are specials advertised and you drive 1.5 hours and get there and told it would be about 2 hours or less to get the âgrinch doughnutsâ and literally wait around town JUST FOR THESE, ONLY TO GO BACK AND GET TOLD that theyâre not making anymore. I even made sure I got the ladyâs name (Karen) and told her Iâd be waiting around town and to make sure that they would definitely be ready at the said time. Itâs so frustrating to get told something when they knew that there wasnât going to be anymore of the âgrinch doughnutsâ being made. Iâm not necessarily blaming her as I watched her go back and asked the kitchen staff BUTTTTT at some point you gotta accept your mistakes. This wasnât the first time this has happened and thatâs EXACTLY why I made sure to ask and yet I was let down. Why send emails and advertise something so special if youâre not going to be able to make enough for the day. I get that itâs based on the product but donât tell a customer something thatâs not true. I left a message for the manager or GM to call me back but I have yet to hear anything.
