1stly very happy to see they were open on Christmas.
2 people I see working on my visit. Small indoor seating but flow of crowd was constant. Ordering and paying bil for large crowd is slow. They might need better crowd management strategy. Because one person has to be running around from taking orders to seating the guest to cleaning the tables.
Food - best falafel we had, crispy with white sesame seeds outside and soft and flavourful inside. I felt tahini sauce was kinda bland side, hummus was not fresh. But tasted great. Breads were fresh.
Lamb curry was so delicious, right amount of spices, juicy and tender inside. Curry mixed with rice was yummy. Must try.
Sandwiches (Chicken tiwook, falafel wrap, and beef) were good, since the bread was thick, it took the major taste. It was overwhelming the stuffings Inside. Recommendation - either reduce the bread warp thickness or increase the stuffings. In addition, can spice a level up for the stuffings.
Parking is very close. Only one physically challenged parking. They have small outdoor seating. Only one entrance that faces the east. Clean washroom with bidet attachment.
I will visit this place...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant to enjoy middle eastern food. We had looked this location up on the internet before we left North Carolina to visit the Daytona area. We arrived at this restaurant at 5:50 p.m. (The website said they close at 7:00 p.m.) We waited several minutes to be waited on. It was 6:00 or 6:05 p.m. A young lady came to the table and said, we are closing early so if you want food, you can order and take it to go or sit outside to eat. It was extremely hot outside. We said, No, and decided to leave and find another restaurant. . We are back in North Carolina now and have great middle eastern restaurants here. Just thought we would give that one in the Ormond Beach area a try. They are not professional in their treatment of custmers. We wasted our time looking them up and driving to their location while we were in the Daytona area. We would not recommend...
Read moreRead the reviews of this place and had high expectations of the food. I was severely disappointed by the quality of the food and the fact that the food was not fresh. The constant humming of the microwave was disturbing. Not even the pita bread was fresh. The gyro was dry , the chicken and beef were tough. The rice was clumped together are hard in certain places. Also no prices were listed and I was disappointed to pay almost $100 for half filled treats of food. 3 beef sausages and rice shouldn’t be $24. Not withstand the horrible food and the prices me and my family tried to make the best of it. But within an hour of finishing our food we all had to run to the nearest bathroom. It was an absolute nightmare. I implore everyone to stay away from this place. It may have been a good place in the past but now it’s toilet paper dining in more ways than one. Thimbs down...
