Photos are today trying to eat, multiple tables smoking like disgraceful lack of willpower stench mills. Could not even enjoy my food that im paying to eat in fresh air because these people can not control themselves long enough to sit and have consideration for others. The area shows huge disgusting amount of cigarette butts, garbage, and some sort of blue white syring that could easily be swept up and properly thrown away so animals, birds, other do not eat it, get into it, and have no pride in the appearance of the area? All of these business should ve ashamed. Also maybe reporyed to city. However, if there is anything positive to say , i will say it. Food is good majority of time, as long as I order the same thing al the time. I am specific on how I like food prepared, presentation, consistency. I always now order the BLT, extra crispy , extra iettuce tomato side mayo. Extra crispy usually removes most all of the grease and rye toasts best. I can not stand saturated by butter or especially grease. So this is consistent. The pretzels ate good, soft and if you mix regular mustard with beer cheese it is great mix of taste on nice warm soft pretzels. I love to sit outside except I would appreciate people who could control their addictions just long enough to sit and enjoy food without letting nicotine to over run their brain so others can not even enjoy the outside fresh air without stench of gross cigarettes. I mean REALLY...GET SOME WILLPOWER. or use a non scented vape smoke and then take small reasonably size puffs not like you have to inhale enough vape to fill your lungs like it's your last dying wish.
Many places are stopping smoking AND vaping all together in open air places. It is not just smokers rights to contaminate the entire area. When that happens, our rights are taken along with our health. And you need clean oxygen to live. You do NOT need cigarettes or nicotine to live. Have some consideration. More so. Have some pride in yourself by not allowing something like that control your every action, desyroy your HOME, CAR, ANIMALS AND PEOPLES HEALTH AND HAPPINESS.
YES this does have to do with this restaurant and other areas regardless, I hope this restaurant will consider stopping all together, smoking of cigars or cigarettes or pipes, tobacco that burns or smells. They also completely trash the environment with non biodegradable cigarettes butts on the ground!. I heard people just today remark about this. Concerned about dogs getting these poisons in their mouths, sk8n, stepping on them, ruining the environment, animals, birds, etc outside coming in contact with cigarettes button, looks like disgusting trash all around the eating areas. Just gross and unacceptable. Also unacceptable is throwing paper, cuos, beer, bottles, trash on the ground, customers, by passers, and homeless. Visiting the area nor homelessness is ZERO TOLERANCE ZERO EXCUSE TO BE DIRTY, TRASH ANY AREA , BE DISRESPECTFUL. You do not have to be rich, well off, educated to be clean, pick up, throw away garbage and have respect for other living beings .. The...
Read moreWe were in town for an appointment and decided to get lunch here since we enjoy Irish pub food. There is an outdoor patio for smokers and people with pets, and also indoor seating in booths and at the bar. Our server was Emily. My husband ordered starters: potato skins, bavarian pretzels, and mac&cheese eggrolls. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a roast beef cheddar sandwich. The potato skins and pretzels were ready within minutes and delicious 😋 the clam chowder was excellent with soft chunks of red potatoes. The sandwich arrived soon after, and the appetizers were so filling that we were only able to finish 1/3 of it - we took the rest to go. We also ordered 2 Cokes no ice and they were a bit flat. Other than semi-flat fountain drinks, the order was tasty and great.
As a side note, my husband mentioned that the men's restroom was a bit odd that there were no dividers between the urinals, and they were too close to one another. As a 6 foot+ tall guy, he said he was lucky to be alone in the bathroom since it would be awkward to rub elbows with someone by mistake. The women's restroom was fine except for the 2nd stall that did not have a lock, so I used a different one. The tavern lost 1 star on atmosphere due to the bathrooms.
Overall, the ambience is a bustling Irish tavern, hardwood flooring, and cozy booth seating. There was 90s rock music playing throughout our meal, so someone is a fan of that. We didn't mind as we grew up listening to Nirvana and NIN on the radio. The bar itself was neat, and there seemed to be a lot of interesting beers on tap. We were fortunate to get there before the lunch / pre-dinner crowd, so there were only about 5 tables occupied and 2 bar guests.
When we were paying for our order, we realized that our mac&cheese eggrolls didn't arrive and they weren't on our bill, so we will definitely be back to order n taste those :) Total cost was around $77 with a healthy cash tip. Excellent price for the generous amount / fresh quality of food and friendly customer service👍. Thanks for a good...
Read moreI am not one to write a review for a business , regardless if my experience was negative or positive but I truly felt that this little Irish pub deserves recognition for its amazing quality of beer and food , also for their exceptional service . Started off perfect , as we were greeted by our server , had a breakdown of the beer list as well as local favorites. This place does brew its own beer , which is always a plus. .We decided on getting a flight of beer so that we can sample a few and go from there. All beer were refreshing and cold , The Papa bear oatmeal stout was superb so i decided that was going to be my choice moving forward, even my fiancé enjoyed that brew and she hates stouts . We started off our meal with the Irish egg rolls , spinach and artichoke dip , and I definitely had to get me a cup of the New England Clam Chowder . First bite into that delicious egg roll and I was hooked , I knew I would be taking an order to go home with me . The spinach and artichoke dip was excellent , a party favorite for sure , the consistency of the dip was on point and the flavors were explosive , the chips that were served with it are kettle cooked and did not disappoint . The clam chowder was tasty but a tad bit runny for my preference . The entrees were served , I chose to go with the short rib over mash potatoes topped with a sort of demi glaze and a side salad to go with it . The short rib was cooked to perfection , as it was super tender and shredded apart so beautifully . I was impressed , and the price point was a steal . My fiancé raved the whole dinner about her chicken pot pie , so much that she went on pintrist to find recipes to recreate this dish . I can’t say enough about this place and my experience other than if you haven’t been here before and find this review , trust me when I say this place delivers in all areas that a restaurant should strive for , the food is amazing , the service is spot on and you definitely can feel the energy from all the hard work being put in . Thank you Mcks for an...
