Boba lovers and nut allergies stay away!!!!!! Visited last night, our party got a brown sugar milk tea and a scoop of elephants ear(?). For starts- employee had a massive attitude problem. I get it- it’s late on a Sunday and you want to go home, but you can’t even say hello, welcome, or ask if we need any help??? Both items were thrown out almost immediately after we tried them. The milk tea tasted like straight unflavored milk, they don’t have tapioca pearls (not sure why, considering that is the most popular boba add in), employee suggested the brown sugar crystal pearls as a substitute-they were disgusting and also cost .79 cents to add in. All 3 members of our party thought the drink was disgusting, so it was thrown out. The elephants ear ice cream was more of a misunderstanding and a safety issue. We had no idea it was loaded with peanut butter, we wouldn’t have purchased it considering we have a big allergy in the group. I found a review from 10 months ago with an almost identical issue. Your staff not knowing what ingredients are in their ice cream and then choosing not to label flavors with MAJOR allergens in them is extremely dangerous. The fact that you already had an issue with a customer requiring medical attention after nut exposure and TEN months later you still do not have anything labeled is absolutely ridiculous. Thank god the first person to try the ice cream wasn’t the one with the nut allergy or else we would have been driving to the ER. $19 was thrown away in 10 minutes, we will never return again and will encourage others not to visit. An absolute shame for a small business that is too stubborn to car about customers...
Read moreMy daughter specifically asked what ingredients were in the chocolate ice cream before she ordered and was told there's only chocolate, caramel and pretzels. After she ate it, she knew there must have been some kind of tree nut in it as well. She began to have allergy symptoms. We called back to have them double check which kind of nut was in the ice cream and was told again it only had the ingredients I listed above. Needless to say, after I pushed them to triple check, I was told it did contain cashews which is the nut she is most allergic to. After talking to the owner the only thing she had to say was, I'm sorry would you like to come get another flavor? 🤯 You cannot possibly be the owner of a food establishment and not understand the importance of knowing how a nut allergy can be life threatening. The cavalier attitude her and the employees had was insulting. My daughter had never consumed so many cashews in one sitting and was terrified for her life. After EMS arrived at our hotel, it became apparent she wasn't going into anaphylaxis thank god. SUPER irresponsible. Apparently Florida doesn't make it clear the food allergies are imperative to understand when you own a restaurant or ice cream shop. This is the result of bad legislators that deregulate in every facet. Beware, those with...
Read moreI’ve visited this place a couple of times and recently brought my friend and her 9-year-old daughter. The daughter ordered a bubble tea but ended up not liking the flavor because it was very earthy. After we paid, we asked if we could replace it with a different flavor, but they charged us full price for a second drink, explaining that "it was already made."
I didn’t push the issue further to avoid making a scene, but I found the situation disappointing. At the very least, the attendant could have advised us that the flavor might not be suitable for a child. Instead, we ended up paying about $18 for two teas, which felt excessive.
Overall, the experience was frustrating, and with so many other options in the area, I won’t...
