Julie's Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in De Pere

9/29/2018 We placed a call in order at the De Pere location for fisherman’s trio with fries and a salad as well as a frisco melt with fries. My bf waited half an hour before he left to pick up our food. When he got there it was not ready so he waited at the bar, and waited, and waited. During this time the no one bothered to update him on the status of the food. He said it seemed like there was a problem with the register and the cashier was too focused on that to let him know what was going on or even pay attention to his questions about the food. When the food was finally ready he was given the wrong order and had to go back. When he was eventually given our food he discovered that half the order was missing and had to go back again. The cashier claimed to have no record of the missing food being ordered. By then our fisherman’s trio had been sitting for and HOUR. He gave up and went home with the by then cold half of our order only discover that The sides we ordered were incorrect as well! There was no explanation, no apology, no effort to make it right. Julie's cafe in De Pere. Worst experience ever! If I could give it negative stars I would! First of all the table we got seated at had hair on it. I know not the end of the world. We ordered a appetizer and drinks. When the waitress brought us our drinks, she spilled mine all over me. 😠 Then we get our appetizer and order our food. We then noticed that the dish our appetizer had crusty food on it! About 20 minutes after we had ordered, You know around the time you would expect the food to be done. Our waitress comes and us they are out of the food my girlfriend ordered. So she had to order something else. By this time my beverage was empty for about ten minutes. I had to call the waitress over for a refill. She went to get it for me, and started doing other stuff. She completely forgot to bring it back to me. After a long wait I finally got her attention. She did apologize. But come on really. There was only one other person there. It's not like they were busy. And to top it all off, they didn't even offer us a discount or anything. Horrible experience! I will never go back to...

This was our first visit to Julie' Cafe, which we happened upon following a Sunday morning "after church drive." We drove through the parking lot and saw how busy a place it was (about 11am) and thought we would try it. Julie's was busy enough that we had about a 15 minute wait, although the waiting line was short. The hostess was very pleasant and our waitress was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. My wife ordered breakfast and I ordered a dinner (8oz grilled Salmon - 2 4oz fillets with a homemade soup of chicken and vegetables in a tomato base, and sweet potato fries), which was hot, very flavorful, with the salmon baked perfectly. The restaurant's atmosphere was cheerful, warm, and inviting. We paid at the counter and left with an additional purchase of a slice of homemade cherry pie and a homemade apple turnover. Julie's will be on our list of places to eat on future drives. Note: the prices were reasonable and the service given by our waitress deserved the 20% tip we left. All in all Julie's was a...
