Let's get the good out. The staff is nice friendly and a pure delight. Everything else, well that's a different story. Chips were stake hard dry. No flavor poor texture and just bad. If someone told me they were from another table 2 days ago I would have believed them. The burrito was meh at best and poor at worst. With green olives, this part is more subjective, how could they! Why is the fact that they are green olives not listed? I have been to tons of Mexican places and only one other place has used green olives. Every other place is black olives so since this is the outlier it should be clearly noted somewhere on there menu or by the staff that the olives are green it is a distinctive taste difference and is horrible to me You may like green olives and that's perfectly fine but it should be told to the people when the majority are black olives. The atmosphere's generic the tables are plastic uneven and wobble like crazy. The chairs are chairs there's nothing remarkable they suffice for the half hour that you're there but any longer than that I fear your butt would go to sleep. All things considered I will not be returning to this establishment; serious upgrades need to be made to their interior if they want points for atmosphere. Notifications of green olives is mandatory in my world and everything else was just barely meh. With so many other Mexican restaurants around that are far superior and charge the exact same prices there is absolutely no reason for me to go to this place hopefully they get their act together because their staff is really good very nice and friendly and I hate for them...
ย ย ย Read moreCan't speak to the quality of food since I couldn't even get a drink order placed. I was skeptical trying this place as it was a major disappointment when it was el herradaro, there, the food and service sucked.
I waited over 5 minutes before a server came over and thru chips on the table. Salsa was generic. No drink order as she just thru 2 dirty place mats with salsa on them on the table and left the chips. 10 minutes later.... still no waitress or anyone asking if we want drinks.. or taking an order.
2 other tables that came in after us were served.
I gave the cook a few dollars for the chips and explained his lack of help on the floor.
5/22/24: EDIT: I went back and tried carry out based on AL POE's insistence that the place is good. Got 3 different types of Taco's to go. Order on the phone was polite, Girl greeted me at the register was friendly. Food came up fairly quickly after I paid. Got home and was still pretty disappointed with the lack of taste in their salsas (both hot and mild) and their tacos. IF I didn't have previous bad experiences with this place- I might rate it 2 - 3 stars. Considering 3 strikes rule- I"M OUT. Have some self respect and go ANYWHERE else for...
ย ย ย Read moreThe service was horrible we walked in and were the only people there, the one waitress finally pulled herself away from the window and her phone long enough to tell us to sit wherever we'd like. It took almost 5mins to even get acknowledged after sitting down and that was only to give us chips and menus by that time I was ready to at least order my drink but couldn't do that since she walked away from us with a purpose. The food was salty the salsa and hot sauce all had a very heavy tomato taste to it. It was not good at all. Then came time to pay our bill. I totally understand paying at the register but I didn't even get to see my bill just watched the server look in the menu and add more money to my check which I'm assuming was for the $1.00 extra for cheese(which I have no problem paying for) but then gives me a total and short changes me a dollar. For future reference use a calculator if you can't do the math in your head. I've been a server/bartender for 15yrs and this is one of the worst business practices I've ever encountered. Completely and utterly disappointed there are far too many Mexican restaurants in the area to ever have a reason to come back to this place. Definitely...
