Horrible Online Service Order. Today on Mother’s Day I wanted to get my wife what she wanted and that was IHOP. Well I submitted the order online at 12:40pm only to be given a time that the order was going to be ready until 2:00pm. I was shocked as the estimated time prior to submitting the order was 35 minutes.
I tried to call but would not get an answer. Drove there to confirm if the estimated time was accurate. When I got there there were people waiting in line outside. Those that were inside the first section of the double doors were packed.
Tried to get in directly to see if the given time was accurate only to be received by a Very RUDE white lady there stating only two persons allowed at the counter area. She would not let anyone talk and kept repeating she would not answer any questions or be able to help anyone else regardless as long as there were more than 2 people. Very unprofessional and needless to say it will be my last time going there.
They were short staffed and overwhelmed with online orders. After waiting for 15 minutes in line I was finally able to get in there at 1:30pm. As I was there the very nice, African American lady behind the counter was looking for my order. She finally found it after she checked the orders that the printer had just printed out. She informed me the order had just been printed and that it would be more like 2:15pm before my order would be done.
I waited in the parking lot and came in at 2pm just to check on the status and she stated to give her till 2:20. I went outside and came back in line at 2:15 and made it back in by 2:30pm. My order was finally ready and handed to me.
Took it to my vehicle only to find out my wife’s order was wrong. Took the wrong item back in and the lady gladly took my order to the kitchen to correct it. As I was waiting for it, the rude white lady came back asking everyone to get out even though three of us were waiting for per of the orders they had made a mistake. She stated we had to wait outside regardless and she forced the other two gentlemen out. Making one of them upset and making him return his order and stating he did not have to deal with this treatment and would cancel the order.
I ignored her and stepped to the side. After 2 minutes the nice black lady returned back with my order and apologized. Have ti say she was the lone bright spot of this experience. Everything else was horrible. That other lady should never interact with customers, they should put a cap on how many online orders can be received and give...
Read moreI'm a case manager and took 3 seniors out for their birthdays because they are alway looking out for my brother who has been very ill. The seniors loves IHop and this location is not far from their senior building. I dropped the seniors off at the door and I proceed to park the car. As I enter the restaurant and started to walk where the seniors were seated. The floor was very dirty and sticky. All of our shoes was sticking too the floor. The floor was in sinking some spots. Once we placed our order, we received our food and it was lukewarm/cold. One of the senior sent her food back. The others didn't want to make a fuss, typical of seniors. Our waitress Michelle was outstanding, she did get the manager to take something off the bill. If I wasn't there with those seniors I would've never stay. The manager was horrible. I'm trying to tell him about these incidents in a discreet way but I can see his demeanor changing to one of defense. I understand you might be short staff which was not the case. Three things restaurants must have: clean restrooms, kitchens and floors. I told the manager, the seniors shouldn't have to go to the IHop in Livonia and there's one right in their backyard. I told him that I hadn't been to location in years and I was very disappointed. I told him that none of us would be back, it didn't seem to phase him. The manager told me they he just passed inspection. My reaction was how with these nasty and sinking floors. If the floors were that nasty and food being served lukewarm. I'm wondering how that kitchen looks and restroom? Well I will never know but I hope for the sake of customers, the managers does some house cleaning. I told him I was inspector which I lied. I hope the inspector wasn't a friend of the manager or didn't take a bribe. Get some new mop heads!!

Read moreSo it's the 4th of July and my girlfriend and I decided we were in the mood for IHOP, but had no idea of it'd be open for the holiday. While my girlfriend was googling the phone number, she was surprised at how many bad reviews this place had, and wanted to go to a different location instead. I tried to assure her that I had never had a problem with this place, and we ended up taking our chances with it. THE REVIEWS ARE NOT JOKING. When we went in, there were only 4 or 5 tables seated, and it was by no means busy. It took us almost 10 minutes just to be seated. After we'd ordered and received our drinks, the only part of the meal that was good, we started hearing other customers complaining. The table next to us actually demanded a refund from the manager. After talking with them a for a bit and joking around about how the other location near us never has problems, they finally got their refund and left, and we considered just paying for our drinks and leaving, as we'd already been waiting about 35 minutes for our food (one omelet and a stack of pancakes). We had plans, and it was already too late to go anywhere else, so we stayed, and finally got our food another 10 minutes later. When we got our food, we had to call the waitress back over because we were not given silverware. The food was cold, and did not taste very well. During the next 10 minutes that we were eating, a mother and son had been waiting at the counter to be seated the entire time, until they finally grabbed a passing waiter and asked what the hell was up. We didn't see our waitress again for about 15 minutes after we finished our food, and then we finally paid and got the hell out of there. In short, food sucked, and the place is unbearably slow. It used to be good, but the current manager and or staff have no idea how to...
