Tubby's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Dearborn Heights

Disappointing. I've been going to Tubbys every bit of 40 yrs. It has probably been 5 or so since my last visit to any and decided to try this new location because an Instagram ad for a combo special kept popping up. The one I used to go to on Telegraph was so disgusting last time I quit going.

Food lacks flavor. BAD. Years ago Tubbys was known for their sauce, and it was automatically added. I had no idea you NOW HAVE TO ASK FOR IT. That explains why when I took a bite, it was so bland. Steak wasn't seasoned like it used to be either. Virtually no cheese on a steak & cheese sub. A huge roll of bread with lettuce and tomato for the most part.

French fries...handful of UN-SEASONED FRIES. I asked for Seasoned and was charged for seasoned but received a small bag of wax. I guess you need to look in the bag if you're doing carry out.

This location is definitely not Tubbys the way it was or meant to be. Won't be back, there's too many other sub shops now. And having had two Steak & Cheese from JM'S that were so much tastier and larger for the same price, I'll go back there. I had my treat for the week all planned out and...

I had a great experience at this Tubbys location! The two workers were so friendly. I let them know that I couldn't have cheese on my sub and the man beautiful the counter asked if it was an allergy and I replied yes. He proceeded to clean the grill for me and the lady got a clean knife to cut the subs with to ensure my sub was free if any dairy. I greatly appreciate the service and I will be giving them my business again...

I ordered a large Taco sub combo and gave a $2 dollar tip cause the cashier was really nice. Total was $20 dollars im giving the store a 2 star cause the meat was pretty burnt the chips were huge in the sub and the sub was very dry. The service there was excellent tho. Not getting another Taco sub. Not at $20. Also I didnt really know where to stand to wait for my food so people were just gaggled about...
