Nestled in the heart of East Dearborn, Adeni Tea Room is a hidden gem for tea lovers and anyone looking to experience a slice of Yemeni culture. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere welcomes you with the rich aroma of spices and freshly brewed tea.
Adeni Tea:
I started my visit with a cup of their signature Adeni tea, and it did not disappoint. The blend was perfectly balanced, with a robust flavor that had just the right hint of cardamom. The tea was beautifully brewed, served hot, and accompanied by a splash of milk that made it creamy without overwhelming the tea's natural taste. Each sip was a delightful experience, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Adeni teas I’ve ever had.
Karak and Chai:
Next, I couldn't resist trying their Karak tea. This version was rich and flavorful, striking a perfect balance between sweetness and spice. It had a silky texture, and the spices were prominent yet harmonious. The Chai was equally impressive, with a deep, comforting flavor that brought back memories of cozy afternoons spent with loved ones. Both teas were served in traditional cups, which added to the authenticity of the experience.
Yemeni Sweets:
To complement my tea, I ordered a selection of Yemeni sweets. The honey comb was a standout—crispy, flaky layers filled with nuts and drenched in just the right amount of honey. I also tried the kuban, which was soft and fragrant, embodying the perfect blend of flavors. Each sweet was a delightful treat, and the staff was more than happy to recommend pairings with the teas.
Service and Atmosphere:
The service at Adeni was impeccable. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share their passion for tea and Yemeni culture. The decor is charming, with traditional Yemeni touches that create a relaxing environment perfect for unwinding with a book or catching up with friends.
Overall, Adeni Tea Room is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality tea and authentic Yemeni sweets. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Adeni, Karak, and Chai or new to these delightful beverages, this tea shop will not disappoint. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return for another round of their delicious offerings. Highly...

Shai Adeni is hands down the best tea spot in Michigan! My wife and I visited and were instantly hooked. Their Yemeni tea is absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. And don’t get me started on their Biscoff dessert... it was so good that we came back the next day. And the day after that!
Beyond the incredible drinks and desserts, the owners are some of the nicest, most welcoming people you’ll meet. On my third visit, they were out of the dessert I came for, but they generously offered me a small sample of their dark chocolate cookies instead—such a thoughtful gesture!
If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Amazing tea, delicious desserts, and outstanding hospitality. We’ll...
