Alanos Eatery — Restaurant in Dearborn

This was my first time ordering food from this restaurant. I ordered 4 SAJ (traditional shawarma bread) chicken shawarmas and a small fattoush salad. The food tasted great but the chicken shawarmas had fries in them. I found out later when I called the restaurant you have to ask them to put the fries on the side. On the website it said with fries I didn't know actual fries was going to be put in the chicken shawarmas. But I think I misunderstood what I read when I ordered because they do give you a option to add fries for $2.50 extra. I know some people may enjoy eating fries in their chicken shawarmas but I prefer traditional chicken sharwarmas. The chicken shawarmas were very greasy but I think they were greasy because they put fries in them. I usually like to dip my chicken shawarmas in garlic paste. The fattoush salad was delicious, very fresh tasting, with various vegetables that you don't normally see in a traditional fattoush salad. I wish they would have put more of those fried pita chips on them they were delicious. The fattoush salad dressing was also delicious. You could really taste the herbs and spices in the dressing. We ordered lunch from this place on 11/06/17. We are not 1/4 mile away and the order was placed at 2:03 well past the lunch rush. The delivery driver came in at 3:11 and explained he had picked up the food 30 minutes prior. When I phoned to complain I was not so helped by Rhonda the manager (as she presented herself). Rhonda was rude and kept calling me “honey” and when I asked her to stop her reply was “are you offended by that?” Not professional! Next she basically told me that we could reheat the food and eat it later. I explained we missed our lunch due to not having our food. Again she said we could reheat the food and eat it 4 hours later. I explained to this rude woman that this was ridiculous and that I expected her to fix it. She explained that she could give us $5.00 off our next order. Our cost was $15.43 not $5.00 and we won’t be ordering from this place again. I asked to have the owner Ray call me and it’s been 11 days and I guess he is too busy to be bothered by an unhappy customer.

I reaaally want to like this place... The people seem friendly and accommodating. However I really cannot deny the fact that there was a 2CM piece of plastic in my wrap....there's different ingredients within the wrap therefore I truthfully don't know how much of the plastic I've truly eaten as by the time I realize, half-way through, I notice a piece of food was not reducing in my mouth, I take it out to examine. Initially thought it was cartilage—indeed it was an a thin piece of folded plastic that was partially seared, meaning it has been melted into the food as well. More food was ordered and found strange wood/grains within each bite, it was like tiny shards of wood chippings, maybe wooden spoon was used during cooking? It was cooked so slightly chewy but still hard as opposed to the rest of the soft ingredients. Soft texture reminded me of fish bones. We ended up throwing everything away as it was takeout. I am very disappointed as I am very fond of their food, service, and location. PLEASE chew carefully and thoroughly to avoid ingesting bowel...
