This place is beautiful inside! They clean each table after each guest leaves but the bathroom could maybe use a little bit of tidying throughout the day. Overall, it does feel very clean though. I like the ambient lighting and the calm atmosphere it has. I also am so grateful for the fact that they are open so late. Any of the milk cakes are delicious, and I love that when your drink and or food are ready they will bring it to the table you’re at. I wish they had decaf options for coffee but was happy to see that the caffeinated coffee was good and they had an option to sub regular milk with oat milk. Music taste is great but if I’m studying, it can be hard to hear my own thoughts with the volume that it’s usually at. I’ve seen people ask them to turn it down before and the guys that worked there were very nice and receptive about it:) the food is on the pricey side, but all of it is so good and since a lot of people that stop by do end up staying for a while and taking up seats, it makes sense to do that. I also enjoy that they remember to offer heating up your food if you decide to order any. In terms of sustainability, they use plastic forks any time someone orders food, but I understand that it might be difficult to properly clean metal forks in the space that they have behind the counter. If you decide to order a drink and sip it within the cafe, they will bring your drink to you in a ceramic mug rather than paper, which is nice. If you get a cold drink they’ll bring it to you in a plastic cup, but I understand there aren’t many sustainable cup options for cold drinks. I know it might seem like I’m being negative about this place, but not at all. I’m so grateful to have something like this in this community, and just wanted to give suggestions on small things they could maybe do better(everybody has room for improvement). But I would absolutely recommend checking this place out. One of my top 3 favorite...
Read moreI have to say that customer service is a huge thing for me when going to any establishment, and this place does not disappoint.
Since we are visiting from out of town, I wanted to try as many drinks as we could since I probably would only come a once during my trip. So I got 5 drinks to share among my husband and I, and our two kids, which were the adeni tea, haraz coffee, cappicino, hot chocolate and a mango smoothie . I have to say that I did not like the Arabic coffee and so I was able to switch it out no questions asked for another adeni tea, since i liked that one most. And that makes me a loyal customer for any time I come from out of town. I will make sure to come here. I will definitely come again for that reason alone. The caramel cheesecake was also delicious!
I don't know what the other person was talking about about having about having too many Edison bulbs...there's no such thing as too many Edison bulbs! It completely made the esthetic and I thought that the place inside was so cute.
I was more careful about it more careful about having a quiet conversation since it seems like most people over there we're working or studying and I did not want to disturb them, the only thing I can think that would make this place perfect as if they had a separate area for people who are working and for people who are having conversations so that we do not bother those who are only there to work. But I have no complaints for this place and wish them the best of luck and their business. I am happy to spend our money here. More places around here need to learn a thing or two from Haraz...
Read moreThis is such a nice cozy coffee shop. It's amazing and wonderful spot to sit and soul search in day time when its not too crowded or just enjoy the company of nice people around when its more busy in evenings. The overall environment is JUST RIGHT!!! I want to specifically thank this place from the bottom of my heart because this is not only just a coffee spot but the people here on the top are JUST SUPER COURTEOUS. For example this guy named Ahmed Muhammed who works here stepped out of shop immediately after I pulled up here, because he saw me on crutches as I'm recovering from surgery. He opened the door and let me in and set the chairs for me. He did all this in the middle of his work. He specifically left everything he was doing and just ran to help me when he saw me struggling with crutches as I am temporarily disabled due to my surgery. But I wanna just say Ahmed has my praise and admiration. And not only him, everyone in this coffee shop just have nothing but respect for their customers. They do nothing but provide great courtesy to their customers at any cost. Anyone in Michigan gotta come here and visit this place Atleast once !!!! This place is just something. People like Ahmed Muhammed working here make it even more worthwhile to visit this coffee shop. Last not definitely not the least, all their coffees and chai are super super super delicious !!!
P.S: I'm a physician and I take my reviews very serious and I meant all of...
