UPDATE: I reached out to Blaze as the respondent suggested. NEVER HEARD BACK.
In Short: AVOID THIS LOCATION! Employees had an attitude and provided subpar customer service. The pizzas were burt, had very sparse toppings, some toppings were going bad, some of the pizza orders were incorrect and NONE of the Vegan Pesto Cheese breads had PESTO. I am used to Blaze having a healthy amount of fresh toppings. This was a great disappointment and a waste of time and money. (Pictures to come)
Background: I have really enjoyed pizza from Blaze in the past. It has been one of my favorite places to go especially when I learned they have plant-based options. My family came in for the weekend and when they decided on pizza I suggested Blaze so everyone could get what they wanted without the headache of trying to decide on what toppings to suite everyone . None of them had ever gone to Blaze and they were excited after looking over the website. Everyone is either 100% plant-based or vegetarian.
We needed 7 build your own and 5 pesto cheese breads. When I tired to order online, the system was down and I could not place it. I then tried to call and could not get through to the restaurant. One of my family members was going to pick up the order but instead she had to place the orders and wait for them since we could not place them before hand. This being her first time at Blaze, she didn't know what to expect but was taken aback when she walked in and there were no other customers but the employees got an attitude when she told them that she was ordering 7 pizzas. It is hard for me to believe that a group order of 7 pizzas would throw them into a tailspin when I have been in Blaze during lunch and dinner rushes. She believes that they did not want to work and this reflected in their attitude and in the quality of the pizzas that were made.
To make it easy on everyone, especially the restaurant, we had every order already written out , name, crust, sauce, toppings and finishes. She also gave the orders to the person making the pizzas to confirm each order was correct.
Even after all of this , we were shocked and upset to find that some were incomplete. Specifically I was shocked that the cheese sticks lacked pesto which is in the title of the item.
We were so dissatisfied that additional plans had to be made for dinner. Everyone was disappointed but none more than I since I...
Read moreThis place has changed and not for the better. Not sure if policies on ordering pizza online only is good for the business. The thing that set blaze apart from other pizza places is the dine in experience. That’s completely gone. The idea of ordering pizza online only after walking into the business makes no sense. They would rather lose business sticking to a policy than take feedback on the customers reaction. People walking out because they feel blindsided by this is just dumb. I get businesses trying to create a habit for the customer but let’s say that works for things people can’t do without like technology than a pizza place that’s is surrounded by 10 other food places to eat. You are in competition. Something corporate should keep in mind. I usually come here with friends “hey guys let’s go to get blaze” with this experience I am sure I can’t do that anymore. Everyone hated the experience and the pizza was cold before we got it. Although we ordered it right there. The employees just fixed the pizza and put it on shelve even after trying to politely have a conversation with the employee on the changes and if they would call our names when the pizza is ready no name called, we had to walk up to a shelve to grab pizzas we ordered inside the building they just let the pizza sit because there is no setup on informing customers their pizza is ready. Blaze must realize at the end of the day like all similar businesses it’s in the experience and service business and they have lost that with this new approach. . A thing I used to like about blaze was being able to get the right amount of drizzles on my pizza but that’s gone too. I know how the flavors go on my pizza that’s why I go in more times than order online. Some of these policies looks to be above the employees so a very non innovative approach from corporate. What might work in a big city somewhere may not work for a different area. In summary the customer service is bad, the online only order is also bad as it takes away the experience and communication that comes with going to Blaze. The idea of placing the pizza in a shelve to get cold and not receiving a text call or your name being called is just outright dumb. Pizza isn’t good cold. The risk of having everyone touching all the boxes just to get to one pizza is also a potential hazard for Blaze. I doubt I will be back and won’t recommend Blaze...
Read moreI want to give this place more stars, but the customer experience has really made me not want to. First off, the pizza is great. Pricing is great for what you get. I love the fact what the pizza is cooked into the fire oven and gives it that nice roast and you can customize it to your liking.
BUT THIS ESTABLISHMENT SHOULD NOT TAKE IN WALK-IN CUSTOMERS IF THEY'RE FULLY FOCUSED ON ONLINE ORDERS. From what I've learned in retail, focus on the guests who are in front of you. When I came it, it wasn't even busy at all (foot traffic wise). I was like the second person in line. As I stood in front of the employees, I wasn't greeted and completely ignored because they were too busy lining up online orders. I waited about 5 minutes until they acknowledged me. I was still patient by then. Like honestly, it was okays. BUT THEY SOMEHOW MANAGED TO LOSE MY PIZZA IN THE MIDST OF ONLINE CRAZINESS? I waited 45 minutes for nothing... just waiting, because apparently they lost my pizza. The workers noticed I haven't received my pizza but yet did not check on it for me. He asked if everything was okays, and I said I didn't have my pizza yet (20mins after ordering) and he said it should be coming soon. I continued to wait another 25mins before I got up. It wasn't until I literally stood in front of the cashier for like 5 minutes for her to say something to me because I wasn't going to be rude and butt in while she was in the middle of something. When I told her I did not receive my pizza, her and the district manager began to sort through the orders and they couldn't find my name anywhere. Like... helloooo. You've seen me sit there pizza-less for like 45mins and didn't say anything? They have even made eye contact with me while I was waiting and they still didn't even bother. That's because of the online orders and I get it, you're swamped. But they didn't even apologize for the mishap or offer anything to make up for it. I had to stand back in line when it got really busy and wait all over again. I was not a happy camper. The pizza was definitely not worth the wait.
Do yourself a favor... ORDER ONLINE. Don't even bother walking in. I learned you get your stuff faster when you do it online because that's what they...
