Krekel's Custard — Restaurant in Decatur

It was my first visit to Krekel's, so I was a little slow and clumsy with my order. It was just after 11am, so they weren't busy yet. Anyway, I didn't see a soft drink menu, so I asked the nice gentleman, who was taking my order, what do you have? He mentioned having several Coke products. Then, my son asked if they had Coke Zero, and he said yes. Problem solved. The lady cashier, next to him, said that 'we don't have time to hold your hand, the drink menu is over there'. I'm not sure if that comment was intended for her co-worker or us!! In any event, we felt a little humiliated. At least she didn't say 'No soup for you'!!... First off, this is the ONLY Krekel's I will go to. The other Krekel's here in Decatur are pretty lousy with the exception of the one in Forsyth. All of the workers and owner are EXTREMELY fast and go the extra step to get your food right out. The food here never disappoints and since I don't goto Wendy's, McD's, Hardees or BK, for me, it's either here or Culvers. Also, to the (tourist) who left this location a bad review, you reviewed the WRONG location. The location you meant is the one on Hwy 36 and while your review was not incorrect about that location, your chosen location is incorrect and you may want to remove it. (4.69) stars out of 750+ reviews says a lot about a place....

NOT THE SAME...I wish I could give it 0 stars..I loved this location on wood before I moved! Came home to visit to get a good burger! First mistake went on Wood st... The angry cook had no gloves on and make matters worse he throw me together a soggy .sloppy raw bacon double cheeseburger GROSS never again would I go there! I appreciate the lady at the end explaining the glove situation!! But it didn’t fix the fact THAT horrible cook gave me a raw bacon sloppy double cheeseburger! If I felt like being rude I would take it back but kill them with kindness and NEVER RETURN! The Health Department needs to close that 1 down...
