If you’re coming here with a large party (four or more people), this place might be a good choice. However, if you’re a teenager or don’t look particularly well-dressed, do not come here. We were regular customers and had been coming here often, but after yesterday, we’ve had enough. I went with a family member—who is an adult, while I’m a high schooler—and we were completely ignored. Despite the many servers available, we had to accommodate ourselves because no one bothered to assist us. We had to grab our own menus, and when a server finally approached, they didn’t even write down our order—just nodded and walked away. While we waited, the server never checked on us. Meanwhile, a large party sitting next to us received constant attention. We also noticed that, unlike usual, we weren’t given water. Our first dish arrived—still no water. By the time the second dish came, the server finally placed water on our table, but their attitude was dismissive. Throughout the meal, the servers kept giving us looks that made me feel disrespected. I was waiting for my last order, but it never came. The server who was supposed to assist us never once checked back, refilled our water, or even acknowledged us. Instead, they stood next to the large party, waiting for them to call. Even when the party was already eating, the server never left their side. I was so frustrated that my body was trembling from how ignorant and dismissive they were. Once we finished eating, I had to get up and walk to the cashier to pay—no one had even come to bring the check. As I turned the corner, I saw several servers standing around, laughing, and chatting like we didn’t even exist. When I arrived at the cashier, two servers were talking to each other and ignored me until I rang the bell. When I informed them that I never received my dessert and asked them to remove it from the bill, they didn’t apologize or even acknowledge the mistake. This was by far the worst service I have ever experienced. Absolutely disrespectful and disappointing, especially considering we were regulars. We will never be...
Read moreTook my family of 6 to eat for lunch yesterday, we ordered BEEF CALDERETA, PORK SINIGANG, LUMPIA SHANGHAI, FRESH LUMPIA, PORK SISIG, CALAMARES and PICHI-PICHI and FLAN for dessert
BEFF KALDERETA is ok, it tasted more like Afritada to me, the beef and is really tender but the potato and the carrots is hard as a rock. PORK SINIGANG is mediocre perfect sour and big portion but we found it really oily, and a bit salty, you can see the oil on top of the soup. made it taste so greasy, my kids love sinigang but they didn't really finished the soup yesterday 😞 PORK SISIG is ok, i found it a little dry, the meat seems like more shredded than chop which is like new to me and it has a lot of pigs ears pcs which im not a fan of, They serve the pichi-pichi really hard and super cold, good thing the server is really nice and sweet enough to heat i up and serve it on a plate, Thank you so much...
Read moreI didn't recognize much flavor profile in the chicken itself, however, it was extremely crispy.
I'm talking like a good 1/4 inch of crunch. I'm guessing they used a deep pressure fryer.
I tried the cheapest meal at $7 on Monday January 17, 2022. It came with iced tea, white rice, a big piece of chicken including drumstick, thigh, and connected back, and a small container of sweet ketchup.
Currently, Pay-Less offers 2 scoops of mashed potatoes, 2 pieces of fried chicken or meatloaf, corn, and however much gravy you'd like for the same price of $7.
The taste profile of Pay-Less chicken and meatloaf is nostalgic with great flavors. The gravy literally tops it all off.
As long as you don't burn your chicken, you're better off making it at home or, at least, buying it elsewhere. Otherwise, if you eat at Maxx's use condiments. Bring your own if...
