Food is very good but is pricey, as I would venture to guess is the average sentiment. I always get the braised short rib over the risotto I've ever had. That said, I was surprised at how limited the menu was. No beef offered. The least costly entree was just shy of $30 and appetizer $18. The wine and drink menu had twice as many selections as food. I enjoyed it very much but not a place I would go regularly primarily because of the cost. I also noticed that with their 6 or 7 veal entrees some indicated M/P (Mkt Price) and others didn't. Those that indicated a price were $27 - $30, let's just say I wouldn't even ask what the M/P would be. After thinking about it I don't believe I ever saw anything aside from fish or something extremely rare, that's usually something really gross, have M/P indicated. And it was "Veal". There was prices listed for Veal Chop, Scallopini, the usual. I just don't understand why some of the Veal dishes costs were M/P 🤔💭🤨. One last thing at the bottom of the menu there is a disclaimer that clearly states that by eating raw or undercooked food is very dangerous and can cause severe illness. A standard disclaimer in most restaurants, at least higher class ones. The thing that really bothered me about that disclaimer is that they DO NOT serve raw food i.e. Sushi, Steak Tartar, Carpaccio, etc. So did they really need to put that. If they are not serving anything raw, then from my perspective and ONLY mine I have to ask did they put that disclaimer there basically just to protect themselves from a lawsuit should a dish be undercooked. Of course I'm not certain and I didn't ask but it smacks of as they say CYA 🤷 Thanks for listening to my ranting I surely wasn't...
Read moreWe ate here tonight for my husbands birthday. I reserved a table for two on the open table website. When we arrived the hostess told us that there were no tables available inside and did not know when a table would open up. So much for making a reservation. We ended up sitting outside. After we were seated I noticed that the table was rocking and unstable. The couple next to us said the last couple who sat there also had the same issue. We resolved this issue ourselves by placing the linen napkins underneath the table legs. Service was horrible, it took forever to get EVERYTHING. We had to ask for salt and pepper, refills on drinks and I asked for grated cheese from three different people and not one of them including our waitress ever brought it over. No one ever asked us how our meal was or if we needed anything at any time. We ended up asking the buss boy for boxes for the food to take home. I asked the waitress for the bill, she dropped it off but never came back for it so I walked inside and asked for a manager to ring us up because we wanted to leave. We still left a tip because I have and still do work in the hospitality industry. The food was really good but through out the entire meal I felt as though because we were only a two top and did not order drinks the restaurant just didn't really care. Almost like we weren't going to spend enough money so we were an after thought. I regret bringing my husband here and...
Read moreHaving never eaten here, my wife and I thought we'd try there Sunset menu, a limited menu they advertised with introductory pricing. When we got there, they didn't have our reservation, had to show them the text message they had sent confirming our reservation. When we were seated, we were not provided the Sunset menu. The seater and waiter seemed disappointed that we asked for it specifically. I ordered the $5 glass of wine that was part of the menu. The waiter was not aware of the offering and had to check with kitchen to verify. At this point, my wife and I were not feeling comfortable and welcomed. We ordered and were told the only salads were arugula and caesar ... fine salads, but we prefer garden salads. We were told that garden salads were not available. Entrees came ... my wife had ordered Chicken Marsala and was given Chicken Picata ... ugh. So all of the above, I guess, could be considered annoyances, however, the tomato sauce/gravy on my Chicken Parm and our Rigatoni was literally an awful disappointment. It had a tinny, acidy taste. Really !! Ragu would literally been a better option. I'm Italian and get offended when higher end Italian restaurants can't get their sauce/gravy right. It's not that hard. Anyway ... my wife and I do eat out often, and were disappointed with tonight's experience. If you choose to eat here. I hope your experience is better than...
