we came to our beloved Hibachi 07.27. to celebrate the birthday of our youngest son. I booked a table in advance for 4 adults and 2 children at 6 pm. i came with three kids and a tiny baby in a stroller at 5.55 and wanted to sit at our table and order because i know what my parents and husband will eat.since my parents and husband were already close and were looking for parking. the receptionist Saiko said I couldn't sit down until the others arrived. ok, I'm waiting for mine. my parents came, I want to sit at my reserved table. I am not allowed to sit at our table. the administrator repeats - until all 4 adults are assembled, you cannot sit down. meanwhile my husband has already arrived, he has emergencies, he sits in the car and tries to fix work problems. but he's already in the Saiko parking lot. he can't get out of the car. because he has an urgent emergency at work. it happens, really! I point through the glass door with my finger to the administrator - look, my husband is sitting in this car, but he cannot come up. can we sit down? I get rejected. my parents are standing - two adult pensioners, me, my two schoolchildren and a baby in a stroller. there is nowhere to sit at the entrance to Saiko. how the seats are occupied and there is nowhere to stand. because the flow of incoming and outgoing people circulates. I'm shocked. I had to leave the children and go out to my husband, ask him to come in so that we could be seated. he hangs up the call. comes in and asks now (as we understood the manager, although I doubt that the manager will allow himself to talk to customers like that in a rude tone, she almost shouted at us. I don’t know her names .. she looked Asian.) to my husband’s question, why is my wife with children and parents should stand here at the entrance, if the time is already 6.20, and our table is booked for 6 hours. she replied that it was Saiko's rules. the husband asks, what if the emergence and the person cannot come to the appointed time? the rest should stand and wait? the manager (or not the manager, I don't know) almost screaming yes you should stand waiting here. Husband asks, where is this rule Written in your restaurant? show me. I want to see it. Or is it Florida law? there was no answer. no one showed us the rule or the law. it was very unpleasant when the tactless manager spreading his arms unfriendly screams at us splashing saliva. this is our favorite place. we have been going there for 3 years. Here is the most delicious hibachi. but we were surprised at such tactlessness, rudeness and inhumanity on the part...

I went around 5pm on a Saturday.

I was sat at a single table near where all the wait staff congregated when not doing any work. Very high foot traffic, a lot of complaining noise from the wait staff as they lazed about.

It was "Happy Hour" for food and drink. Ordered a single item off the happy hour menu - Bang Bang Shrimp. Tasted re-fried, oily and, drowning in a sauce that tasted like it was from a bottle open for a few days left in the heat. Would not suggest ordering.

Ordered food from the Hibachi menu for dinner. Comes with Soup, salad and a shrimp appetizer along with white rice, a 3.75 upcharge for friend rice. Ordered chicken, Shrimp and Filet Mignon (ordered med-rare but was served nearly well done) and asked to have no mushrooms in the veggies served with it. The soup served was very dark in color and tasted burnt while the salad looked as though it had been sitting under a hot lamp for hours. Soggy, running dressing and served in a hot bowl. Ended up with what seemed like extra mushrooms and very little of other veggies. The Meats all tasted the same and had no individual flavor or discernable taste. The rice seemed to be lacking in salt but was heavily seasoned with white pepper to the point of nearly being uneatable. Had a side of noodles ordered as well, which were overcooked and tasted of burnt garlic.

Managerial staff was unprofessional and sat around talking idly the entire time I was present at the restaurant. Took no time to attempt to address my issues when waved down and ignored my multiple attempts at getting their attention. The wait staff was unable to understand English it seemed or had a hard time understanding and it showed on how my food was given to me along with the failed attempts at getting a manager.

Overall, wish I didn't spend as much money for as atrocious of a meal as I did. Would not suggest coming here for Hibachi or other food. The money spent here would have been better donated to someone hungry and spent at a McDonalds.

Only saving grace is that there is an ice cream shop in the same plaza that will help get the murky flavors of your meal from here out...

I was all set for a great experience based on all the 5* reviews I read before going. What a great liquor and wine list. Nicely presented, however, most of what was described on their specialty drink list wasn't available since they didn't have any of the liquors that would be needed to make them. The bartender came over to our table and told us that not only were most of them not available but that we should ignore most of the rest of the liquors listed as available. The explanation given was that they had just opened and this was their "proposed" drink menu....... They spent a lot of money on a proposal and held it out to their new customer without a comment from the server or other visual cue.

We ended up not ordering any drinks.

My salad and soup got dumped in front of me at the same time. Hot / Cold... oh well.

My sashimi came on the same plate together with what my wife had ordered. Not a real problem, unless she happened to have had a food allergy, which she didn't.... just saying.

I didn't order an entree, my sashimi was going to be my main meal. 20 + minutes after we finished the sashimi, my wife's entree was nowhere to be found. The server went to check on it, spent a lot of time at the POS terminal and wandering around the dining room. Didn't see him enter the kitchen to "check on the order." Maybe part of the time at the POS was spent actually entering it. He never returned with an update and after another wait I asked for the check, which was presented without question or an attempt at any service recovery.

My wife left the restaurant while I was settling the bill and was asked by someone at the host stand how everything was. She replied, "Not good, I would never come back." All she received in return was a smile.

Interesting to see that management has responded to several reviews..... with the exact same response for critical reviews. It shows that they are not sincere nor do they take the time to individually address each issue. It shows they...

Alright, so I came to Saiko-i expecting a good meal—and left talking about the entire experience. From start to finish, this place delivers. But what elevates it to something truly memorable isn’t just the food. It’s the leadership. Ouray, the General Manager, is the kind of leader every restaurant needs—but few actually have. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone: relaxed, upscale, and full of life. It’s not easy to create a space that feels both elegant and comfortable, but Saiko-i nails it. Lighting, layout, and flow—all of it felt intentional, warm, and inviting. That kind of ambiance doesn’t happen by accident, and you could see Ouray’s touch in every detail. She didn’t just oversee the evening—she curated it. Present but never intrusive, attentive without hovering, and completely in control without ever seeming rushed. From the greeting to the final check-in, Ouray made sure the entire floor moved with efficiency and grace. Her staff reflected her energy—professional, friendly, and sharp. And then there’s the hibachi experience. Second to none. I’ve had hibachi across cities and coasts, but this was something else. Our chef had that perfect mix of technical skill and showmanship, and every dish was spot-on: fresh ingredients, expert timing, and beautifully plated. The pacing was smooth, the portions generous, and the entire table was drawn into the fun. It’s rare that a hibachi meal feels this well-executed across the board. The sushi menu was also a standout—beautifully presented, balanced in flavor, and clearly crafted with care. But honestly, it was the overall harmony of the night that stayed with me. You don’t walk away from most meals talking about leadership and structure—but I did. Because everything just worked, and that’s a testament to Ouray. If you’re deciding where to go in Boca Raton—go to Saiko-i. Ask for the hibachi. Soak in the ambiance. And if Ouray is on the floor, know that you’re about to experience something that sets the standard.

I came here with friends and they booked the reservation. They thought this was a new Hibachi restaurant in Boca but as we drove up I remembered being here a couple of years earlier. I didn’t recall it being memorable but since it had been a while I was hopeful it would be more appealing to my taste buds. A reservation is recommended because it’s busy, even on a week night. I ordered a sushi and the rest of my group ordered the hibachi. The sushi came out before anything else so I ate by myself. If I had known this I would’ve asked for my meal to come out after the others had their salad and soup. When soup and salad came for the rest of the group the server also placed soup and salad in front of me l, probably thinking I had ordered hibachi also. Since my friends and I were all catching up I didn’t initially notice that they had served me soup & salad erroneously. I even thought they meant to serve me soup and salad after a minute. Everyone started eating soup and salad so I grabbed a spoon and started eating the soup places in front of me. A different server came up and said I was not supposed to have soup & salad because I didn’t order hibachi and she took the salad away from me. I thought that was a little tacky being that they had already set it on the table. I have worked at a restaurant and we would not take back a dish if we had accidentally set it on the wrong table. The sushi roll was nothing special and I didn’t finish it so I was still hungry. The rest of the group was served their hibachi and they hardly touched it. The food lacked flavor. The steak and chicken had no seasoning. Someone in our group ordered noodles which I usually enjoy but even the noodles were flavorless. Unfortunately, the 2nd chance didn’t hit the mark either.

We were a group of five looking for a late restaurant after a meeting. I think we arrived around nine. This place was recommended by someone in our group. She spoke highly of the food. We all ended up sitting by the bar. It was a beautiful bar and restaurant. The decorations are nice. My first impression. I walked in and made it to the. I stood there for a few seconds. The ladies did not notice me they were having a conversation, no greetings. I interrupted the conversation and asked if I could walk in and find my friends. I found my friends by the bar. We were five so we took most of of one side of the bar area. The bar had two people working it. One took the food orders and the other one the drink orders. The food orders were taken right away. I do agree the food was good. I was a little upset with the bartender's customer service because his back was 90% of the time turned towards us. He never checked on us. We literally had to flag his attention to our side. His attention was fully on the people in front of us. The place is nice. The booths are beautifully decorated and cozy. I liked what I ordered. I do hope the place works on a better customer service. Acknowledgment of patrons go a long way.
