McDonald's — Restaurant in DeForest

I was hesitant to give a review because I know and like several of the employees there. I was going through the drive-thru to order ice cream after an event with my family and waited over a half an hour for for cars to pass through the drive-through. When I arrived at the ordering window I was not given some of my order because they did not have chocolate chip cookies. As far as I'm concerned I can make scratch chocolate chip cookies in the time I was waiting :-). But they also did not give apple pies but a different type of pie in a hopeful substitution but we're told if we wanted the correct pies we could wait additional time if we wanted to when we got to the front window. The reason this is not a 2-star review but a one-star review is because the manager was absolutely Turkis not trying to me as a customer or the employees. I'm in management, and know that failure at the ground floor is because of failure at the leadership. When I arrived at the front when I found a second error in my order he passive aggressively dropped the food item in front of me and made a scoffing face before turning and berating the employees. It made me sad because I was debating whether or not to request receipt after waiting 40 minutes for ice cream then getting a wrong order. Terrible service. Took 10 minutes to get our food then we didnt have all the items in our happy meal. The restaurant was so filthy. As I sat the 3 children, we had a hard time finding a place where there wasn't something spilled on the table or seats. As I sat there waiting for our food , the manager along with others were talking about a woman with Menopausal issues. Very offensive. When I got the food, I said, just an FYI to let you know the tables and benches are filthy. He said... ( I believe manager) oh well. We are under staffed today. There was myself and kids and 3 others waiting for food and about 6 behind the counter. Others cuatomers came to me while eating and said this McDonald's is horrible. I am personally disgusted. Maybe if they quit the derogatory remarks they woukd have more time. I am presonally calling the main manager and district manager. I figure if the restaurant is this filthy and they don't care the kitchen is worse. Also no ketchup that works and many people told them and it was never changes. ...

8/22/18: Had the best service I ever received at this location. The employees were friendly , the restaurant was clean, and my food was ready as soon as I self-filled my soda. I was taken aback. Granted, it was later at night, but compared to my experience at a similar time 4 years ago, it was vastly improved. Bumping from 2 stars to 4.

4 years ago: I don't normally do ratings, but I have never had a positive experience going to this location. I understand they need a late night food menu and occasionally need to clean their ice cream machine (basically forcing me to get something I would never normally order last week), but I could not get anything at all tonight because their credit card system happened to be down too. Their service is always extremely slow as well, whether going through drive through or going inside. It's disappointing. If they are committing to being a 24/7 highway restaurant, they need to get their act together. Otherwise, just operate on...
