My wife and I stopped in for lunch the other day....and man was it delicious!!

I love me some brisket, but it seems most places up here don't know how to do it like the south. Which to be honest, I didn't know what I was missing until I had outstanding brisket in Texas. Since then I've been looking for at least similar quality up here. Hadn't really found it until eating here.

I had the brisket sandwich and my wife got the two choice shrimp basket. The brisket came out cut into nice thick slices perfect for a sandwich with a very appealing smoke ring. I knew then I was in for a treat! Tried a couple of their BBQ sauces and needles to say it was about a minute later the sandwich disappeared 😁 my wife isn't as big of a fan of brisket as me and even she said that is amazing! I'll have to get a picture next time.

The shrimp was some of the best we've had up north. My wife did think it was a little pricey at first, but once it came out she realized why. Several large nicely breaded pieces, with a side option, were placed in front of her. She said "I'm probably going to need your help with this." I was happy to help ☺️ She got the coconut shrimp and the firecracker sauce shrimp. The firecracker was our favorite.

We got a peach moonshine and lemonade drink and a peach moonshine and iced tea drink. Both were fantastic. And no the moonshine wasn't the type that will impair your motor skills or make you loose your teeth after one. It was just a nice refreshing addition to the meal. I'll be honest though... a little disappointed that sweet tea wasn't an option; especially after finding out that the owner is from Texas originally. The quality of the brisket made up for it though 😉

This place is phenomenal. I swear to you, you will not be disappointed. I had a take out order with brisket, mac and cheese and corn muffins. As well as their key lime pie.

Ive gotten brisket at other places and was always disappointed, I took the chance and tried the brisket here and let me tell you, I am beyond pleased that I did. It was so tender and moist, the crust was very flavorful!

I'm a bit of a mac and cheese snob, and often times won't order it because it never lives up to my standards. This stuff was perfection. Cheesy liquid goodness, with corkscrew noodles. It doesn't have that weird crust on top or the odd mix of cheese flavors. It's a nice mild, creamy mac and cheese.

The corn muffins are great too. They are slightly sweet (which are my favorite kind), not gritty or dry at all and even have bits of actual corn pieces.

Lastly, the key lime pie. Not overwhelmingly sweet, the right amount of tangy punch. A really nice graham cracker type of crust. A great crisp bottom, not soggy at all. It doesn't taste like a mass produced slice of pie. It truly tastes like its made in house with attention and care.

My meal was just truly perfection. I normally rate things take out meals a 6 or 7 out of 10 majority of the time. "Its good and satisfied the hungers but never great". This meal was without a doubt, easily a 12/10. It...

We came in and had a pretty impressive first visit. We were greeted with a hello, a smile and seated right away. Right away got our drinks ordered as we tried their 2 for 1 margaritas, which tasted very good! We ordered the chicken / brisket nachos as an appitizer which was my personal favorite... Brisket had amazing smoked flavor and a crispy char on some of the outside bark! Nachos were a very large portion.... enough to share! We orderd our daughter the mac-n-cheese kids meal which was pretty good and homemade. My wife orderd the brisket taco lunch combo and a cup of some tasty New England Clam Chowder. Mmmm... I also had lunch combo, however I went with the shrimp tacos and a Cesar salad. Shrimp was good, but the taco was missing something??? Maybe some purple slaw / cabbage pickled??? Or some cilantro!!!! At the end of the day everything was very tasty. My wife really enjoyed the little cornbread muffins! Everything tasted great, had nice flavors, tasted fresh, presented nicely, large portion sizes, good sauces and most importantly friendly and knowledgable service.... We will be back for sure! Next time we will explore the menu more and see if they can re-peat this visit and earn my 5th star! I will be honest it will not take much other than another...
