Eeehhhh it was very subpar if I'm bieng honest....We were the first ones to walk in an be seated,at least 3 other tables of the same general size as ours got thier food before ours..Our server was very unnattentive an only gave us our original drinks, another server from another section had to come refill our drinks for us..Maybe it's because I have resturaunt experience so I'm just going by knowledge,But our food got to our table in pieces...My low country crab boil first,my sons burger,Then my wife's burger, then my two youngest quesidilla;an all this came out 5 minutes apart from each other...If you know anything about a resturaunt if anything the quesidillas should've came out first as theyre the quickest thing to cook...My wife ordered the smash burger I believe an it was $13(She ordered onion rings with it but was givin regular fries),an my son ordered a regular burger which was $10,the regular hamburger was 2x bigger then the smash burger...As for the low country crab boil, will I pay $25 for it again? Most defienetly not....The shrimp tastes straight out of a bag,the corn tasted store bought,an the only seasonings they used on the whole thing was way to much old bay, tony creole seasoning,I think I tasted a tad bit of old bay,an way to many parsley flakes...total came up to $91,An also charged me for 7 drinks when thier was only 5 of us...I more then likely won't eat here again...I try to support small bussinesses, but some things especially a food veteran myself ,i just can't do...put it this way my wife's been serving for 8 years I told her ill sign the receipt, you leave the tip...When I asked her how much she left she shook...
Read moreMad chaos. We had a group of about 15 people. Majority had simple dishes, like salads. Tell me why not a single dish came out after over an hour of waiting. Then when we do receive our food, one has a hair in it AND the food tastes like it had been sitting out for a while. Bacon on salads were hard like it was from the morning! Gross! I didn't see the manager help once until the place was practically falling apart and all he did was greet us asking how we were. There were maybe 3 servers including ours running around. I honestly felt bad for our server as not only did he have our big group, but MULTIPLE others. There was a huge line out of the door just waiting to be seated + other servers I caught just standing around. Over 2 hours later we were finally ready to leave and asked for our checks. We looked around and asked another server where ours was so we could process our cards and go home. He was gone and when we asked, "I'm not sure where he is, I think he's outside." Why is he outside we're ready to LEAVE. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact that it was my grandmother's birthday celebration I would have been furious. But they did do a great happy birthday song for her, so that was probably one good thing out of the experience. Don't go here after 5pm because they don't have enough servers to...
Read moreStopped in here after visiting the springs down the road, and had such a wonderful dinner and a wonderful time that we stopped here the next day for lunch on our way out of town.
At dinner, I had the grilled pork chop. It was the best pork chop I’ve ever had, hands down. Sides were equally up there with the best of the best. Prices were phenomenal for the quality of the food and the cozy but stylish atmosphere.
The town is so cute, I wasn’t sure what to expect food-wise, as I figured any restaurant around could probably coast by on just the charm of the town. I was wrong! I was so pleasantly surprised when I ate here—not only was our food fantastic, every plate I saw on nearby tables looked wonderful. I’m from south Louisiana and have lived the last decade in New Orleans, and I’ve been lucky to travel all over, and I can definitively say this place could easily hold its own in any major city.
Our waitresses for both dinner and lunch were wonderful, and we were lucky enough to speak with the owners. Everyone gave great recommendations from wine to what side to order to various holiday festivals/markets DeFuniak Springs hosts throughout the year.
Needless to say, we will be back! Highly recommend...
