Any place managed like this will never get my business again.
My husband and I just went here for the first time and left extremely disappointed. I never leave negative reviews, but the experience here was so terrible that I could not wait to leave.
To start, we waited over 30 minutes for Pho when there were very few dine ins. We listened to the staff tell customers that they had to wait over an hour for a to-go order. Meanwhile, the older employees are back there screaming away in the kitchen. It wasn't fun to have to listen to.
We had basically no meat in our Pho and the spring rolls were 90% shredded, low quality lettuce. The broth was fine, but that was the best part about the meal. I genuinely debated requesting our check be reduced because of it.
The kicker came at the end. We listened to the manager or owner (unsure) speak very poorly to a waitress that was obviously more new to the role... loudly... IN FRONT OF ALL THE CUSTOMERS SHE HAD TO SERVE. This young waitress was talked to like an idiot by this lady. It made us both so angry to hear that my husband told the waitress she should look for another job because she deserved to be treated better. I could not agree more. The whole interaction was mean and unprofessional at the least. And then this manager decided to raise hell about table 5 (us) because we addressed her behavior? You talk to your staff like a dog, get mad because people have an issue, and your best course of action is to scream about it to the whole restaurant? Come on, now.
I can deal with a wait and subpar food, but don't manage your place in a way that makes it toxic for your staff and uncomfortable for your customers. The whole experience was a debacle. We will never go back here! Really sad, too, because we love...
Read moreI really liked my lunch here, and the menu looks amazing with lots of dishes I want to try. I had the honey dew tea with lychee boba, and it was delicious. I also had the spring rolls. They were ok. I felt there was too much lettuce to even enjoy the textures of the other ingredients, but the peanut sauce was delicious. I also had the shrimp and soft noodles dish. It had a nice flavor, but the shrimp were way overcooked and a little mealy/ dry, shrimp are currently really good and locally in season, but these were not fresh. The waiter was nice, but I felt like he may have been new. He put in a wrong order for me, and my entree was a bit delayed in coming to the table. It was not too much of a big deal this meal, but had I been with a big group, it would have been way off on the timing. Also, we found ourselves without drinks a time or 2. I will definitely be a repeat customer, though, as I feel that anything that I listed is easily fixable and everyone is new at one time or another. I would also highly recommend you try this place. I wasn't disappointed in the quality of service, food, or atmosphere. It is very clean and nicely decorated. A great addition to our...
Read moreV Pho Vietnamese is a hidden gem 💎! Recently stayed in DeFuniak Springs at an RV campground for a week. Ended up eating at V Pho twice. A very pleasant surprise find for us. The restaurant has only been open a few months according to our server. The interior is bright and clean in appearance. The serving staff was very helpful, courteous, and prompt on both visits. Started with the crispy egg rolls. They appear handmade with a Mixture of savory pork, vegetables, and noodles in the wrapping. Very tasty! Many combinations of Pho are on the menu. On the first visit I asked if the Pho I was interested in (number P7) was similar to a “rare beef” which is my favorite. She assured me it was. Then had the kitchen put the beef on a separate plate so I could actually put it in myself. I thought that was awesome, kudos to the staff! On the second visit, I got the same thing because it was so delicious but requested double meat this time. This request was happily obliged. If you’re traveling through the area on I-10 it is definitely worth a detour if this is your...
