Nestled in the heart of the DeFuniak Springs, Millys Cafe has quickly become my go-to spot for a cozy meal that feels like a warm hug. From the moment you step through the door, the inviting aroma of home-cooked goodness envelops you, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. Food: 5/5 The standout feature of Millys is undoubtedly the food. Each food option is prepared fresh daily, using locally sourced ingredients, which is apparent in the vibrant flavors and quality of every bite. Its hard to chose between their fried chicken for their signature meatloaf with creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The meatloaf was perfectly seasoned and had that melt-in-your-mouth texture that only comes from a lovingly cooked meal. The creamy mashed potatoes were the ideal creamy counterpart, and the seasonal veggies added a refreshing crunch. The portions are generous, and the variety of daily specials ensures there’s always something new to try. Service: 5/5 The service at Millys is simply impeccable. From the moment I entered, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. It’s clear that the team takes pride in ensuring every guest leaves happy, contributing to the overall experience. Value: 4.5/5 Given the quality of the food and the generous portion sizes, the prices are very reasonable. You truly feel you are getting a great meal for your money, with the added bonus of knowing it was made with love and care. Final Thoughts: Milliys Cafe is a little slice of home in the midst of the hustle and bustle. With fresh, flavorful dishes that evoke nostalgia and service that makes you feel right at home, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a comforting meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this cafe should definitely be on your itinerary. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings! Highly...
Read moreI am so glad the corner Café is open again as Millies It’s a great location to watch the city go by. It does have a long way to go to tweak out a better atmosphere. Definitely needs more pictures inside, but I appreciate the color they have used for the trim Some notes for improvement: could definitely use serving trays as they are very much still in the 1990s as far as thin Styrofoam plates, brittle plastic diningwear. And the hydrochlyorimethane est styrofoam cups. No lids for coffee. Weird entry. I understand that they probably do not yet have a dishwasher. for being open less than a week. I was disappointed with how filthy the windows were. Could use some improvement all the way around there. The menu could use some sorting out . It seems that only Monday and Thursday would be dining specials that are not just leftovers from the day before.. Croissants were the chewiest I’ve ever encountered, Would recommend not microwaving them perhaps investing in an air fryer. Fried chicken was very well done and not undercooked. It does seem like an entirely chicken based dining experience, except from Monday to Wednesday, which is a meatloaf, kind of addition. It’s a great location that could truly need some...
Read moreIf you haven’t tried Milly’s Cafe, what are you doing? I went opening day and was so satisfied that I have come back multiple times each week since it has been opened.
Breakfast we have had chicken biscuits, waffle, biscuits and gravy, and cheese grits. All were delicious! Biscuits and gravy were my favorite!
Lunch we have had the chicken tenders with potato wedges, fried chicken plate with potato wedges, mashed potatoes, corn, Lima beans, and collards. All were delicious! The chicken is cooked very well where you actually can eat chicken and not leave hungry because it was just crunch.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming! And explained anything if we needed any clarification.
I highly suggest it and it is worth the wait during the rush of...
