Ate at Harry’s this morning, my parents got the blueberry oatmeal pancakes and a mushroom omelette. Both of these items were well prepared and delicious. Additionally, we were able to call ahead for a table which saved us a 20/30 minute wait - this was great! Where we had some problems though, was the fact that the food took an hour to come out. Then when it came out, the burger I ordered (with egg, specifically) came with no egg. When this brought to the attention of the food runner, he appeared bothered and annoyed that I had brought this up (despite it being a $2.99 up charge). Then when it finally came out with the egg, the egg was still raw and runny all over the plate - French fries were cold. Lastly, I had ordered this burger as Medium-Rare ensuring that this was specific twice to the server. Unfortunately, due to an error of the kitchen, or something else the burger came out and was the consistency of a hockey puck.

I also ordered a Pepsi, which had no fizz and was all syrup. Sad to say, but probably won’t be returning

Also asked to speak to a manager, but was unable to speak with someone. Not really an experience that would be expected at such a pricey establishment. Instead go to another place in Solana Beach/Del Mar. Try Sunny Side Solana, menu is more creative and is half the price.

When they got it out for the third time, it was still overcooked (in fact charred this time) and was disgusting. So overcooked that the burger fell apart while eating it, decided to just give up. Hopefully the owners enjoy their profit! Don’t visit, is a...

My family has been in La Jolla since the early 1990s and is where I luckily grew up. We have been to the original Harry’s of La Jolla countless times over the years because it’s a true landmark for breakfast since 1960. I was extremely surprised and happy to see they opened this second location where on the coast side of HWY 101 where Americana used to be so we stopped in for our first time this past weekend, a few days after XMAS. The interior has a very similar look to Americana and they still have the wall of windows which is nice when there is a breeze and they open them. Inside is not very large but they do have some seating outdoors in front as well. Parking can be tricky in this part of Del Mar depending on the time but eventually a street spot will become available. Try parking in the neighborhood behind this shopping center. Our server was very polite and we only had to wait about 3 minutes to be seated for our 9:30 Sunday brunch.

The menu here is very similar to the La Jolla location and has a lot of great options on it. For this visit I chose the Chilaquiles and added Carne Asada. The green chili sauce on the bottom added a great flavor and the carne was seasoned just how I like it. They cooked the eggs perfectly and overall I loved the dish. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area or to any other La Jollans who have not tried this new...

The food and atmosphere were good. The service was a little slow, I think they were still getting setup for the day, even though it was around 8am when we visited.

We ordered the Fresh Fruit Bowl, which is described as a "generous bowl of seasonal fruit may include banana, blackberry, strawberry, melon, raspberry and strawberry". Our "generous bowl" was shallow and about 5-6" in diameter and had melon and pineapple. The table next to us received a "generous bowl" that was served on a plate (how a large portion of soup would be served) that came with all the above mentioned fruit.

When we asked what the difference was between what we received and what they received, our server explained that the restaurant had recently changed names and had a lot of regulars that were coming in and requesting to get what the previous restaurant offered. He went on to say that they honored the requests because they still had the items to make the dishes.

Which gave us the impression that if you weren't a regular, they were going to pull one over on you. No offer to remove the overpriced item or bring out something that matched what the table next to us got, when they ordered the same exact item, just...
