The store was not busy, I was the only customer in drive thru and only 4 customers were inside. When reviewing my receipt later in the day for my work for travel reimbursement, I found that I was charged extra change for a round up charge to a charity - Ampler CARES. I was NEVER asked if I wanted to roundup and donate nor was I notified. While its only a small amount of change this is a very deceptive and fraudulent practice, and even a penny shown on my receipt negates my ability to be reimbursed for that meal from my employer. Returning to the store the next day, the person at the counter said they couldn't figure out how to reimburse the amount then stated that since I already "took and ate the meal" they wouldn't correct the issue. I didn't want a complete refund, only the unapproved roundup donation. Also on the day of ordering the teller wasn't listening to me and I had to keep correcting her on my order, 3 times at the speaker and once more at the window, with my food still being when I cot it. There was a woman there at the door with her receipt from drive-through knocking on the door. We could all see six people inside sitting at tables who looked like customers. All the lights were on, no one would answer the door. The poor woman who had already paid but could not get her food stayed, trying to get any service. We said we were leaving to go to KFC. She said she wished she had gone Anywhere other than Church's. This was our first ever visit to Church's Chicken. When we went to KFC, we were greeted by a friendly worker. We were given exactly what we asked for. There was a manager working alongside him, packing our chicken to go. I ordered the Wednesday 8PC Dark special a 3 PC Tender, after paying for my order I was instructed to pull to the side and wait. After about 10 minutes my order arrived and I proceeded to drive home. Imagine my surprise when I got home to discover that my 8PC was a 7PC and one of them was a wing. When I called I was told that they would replace the missing pieces the next time I come in but how does that feed my family tonight. Very poor customer service.
