We visited Texas Roadhouse location in Del Rio Texas on a Wednesday afternoon. We waited only a few minutes to be seated and were offered fresh bread right away. They have a large menu with many options and sides. We ordered two salads to start our lunch and to share between four people. Serving was good and the salads were tasty (ceasar and house salad). Also we ordered some fried pickles and they came along pretty quickly. Those were tasty but the ranch dressing tasted a little bit salty. We ordered: bbq ribs, country fried chicken, country fried steak, rib eye and grilled shrimps, all of these dishes come with two sides and you can choose from around 10 different sides. It didn't take long for our dishes to arrive, around 15 min or so. They say everything's bigger in Texas and wow! the servings were large and if you're not an avid eater or get full pretty quickly, I'd strongly recommend for you to choose one main dish to share with someone else. All of the dishes were delicious, shout out to the bbq ribs as they were literally, as the menu says, falling off the bone. Rich flavor and meaty. Country fried chicken was good but a bit dry, you definitely need the gravy. Rib eye and shrimps is always a winner. The flavor of the grilled shrimps is great. The country fried steak had me doubting a little: it is good, the serving is great and I ordered the brown gravy which was a great match, but I'm not sure if I'd order it again. Having said that, we did ordered another round of the hot bread because it is simply delicious: fluffy and hot. We had a great experience having lunch in Texas Roadhouse and the waiters were very nice and always checking on us. I do recommend this restaurant and it is a great...
Read moreWell, I have to say that Texas Roadhouse is consistently good. Good food, good service, ok prices. It's always busy, and you definitely want to sign in online instead of when you get there (waiting times are so much faster!), but even the crowd at the door can sometimes move quickly.
I like that the wait staff do not hound you at your table, that you can pay with the little table kiosk. Sometimes, not often, you can see the manager going to some tables (not all) to check on patrons. I watched an older couple get a bunch of discounts and gift cards for being their first time there, which was nice, but it seems inconsistent. While I don't expect a free meal, I would expect that all new customers would get the same treatment, and that was lacking in my few experiences at this location.
The food, though... I'm not a picky steak eater, but they're not too bad! The meat is usually at the right temp (my prime rib was over what I ordered, but still was soooo good), and the portions are pretty good sized (I usually can only eat half). They will bring you lots of rolls and cinnamon(?) butter, they will let you substitute things on sides (try sweet potatoes with the loaded mash toppings!), they have always been friendly and quick.
Overall, great experience, and definitely...
Read moreI was skeptical that everything would be ON POINT but was I wrong. We checked in on the app waitlist and were notified within 2-3 min our table was ready. Our waitress Keauna was amazing very tentative and had a great attitude and personality probably the best service I've ever had in this little town EVER. To start off we ordered each an adult beverage which is probably now for me the tastiest coldest Shiner Bock in town and we didn't have to wait on those either they were out to us as soon as we ordered them. As far as our meal, AMAZING, Steak was cooked to perfection sides were great best steak I've had in years without having to drive miles out of town or cook one myself. My fiancé eats very little so ordered the Ranger Ribs, which by the way were still a decent serving of ribs, the ribs were fall of the bone delicious was how she put it and of course I had to get a taste myself and yes they were. Definitely excited to have Roadhouse in town will be back...
