Top's China — Restaurant in DeLand

If I could give this place negative stars, I WOULD!! (But here are 5 so this actually gets seen!) Having worked in and managed in the food service industry, this place is a cess pool of bacteria waiting on a victim! Almost every (if not every) one of their health inspections show repeated violations of not keeping meats at temperature! Sounds like an amazing dinner, right? Well today I watched their delivery driver place their refrigerated delivery in the non climate controlled hallway out back at around 7:30 am, when they opened at 10, they brought the delivery into the restaurant. I am not sure in this heat that anything refrigerated should be left out for over 2 hours in a hot dirty hallway. Also if you look in the inspection reports you will see where their hand washing sinks are not accessible, which makes for an even more scrumptious meal being that once they put their gloves on, they do EVERYTHING in them, including go out to their car and talk on their phones and smoke cigarettes and the walk back in to serve you your meal in the same gloves. WOW! What an experience. They say New York experience and they MEAN it. Dishes are Hugh, a lot of selections, food is AMAZING. I wish I live closer. They are in Deland (FL), I'm in OBS. Maybe 25-30 mins.? From me. Certainly worth the travel though. *Tops China is in a small shopping type center. There is an Sushi/hibachi place first, then, some type of store then *Tops China AND boy are they extremely fast. They have tables you can actually SIT there and eat.(not in my part of FL) by the time we were getting our table ready, food was already coming out. MELTING HANDS HOT. **As soon as someone walked in (And there were A LOT) OWNER would say on phone: OK, 10 mins. OK, 10 mins. ETC. AND he MENT IT. When a customer walks in he says: you called? What's your phone number? And boom it was ready. again AMAZING! *SORRY, we were so hungry that we were devouring it. I have eaten at a lot of asian takeout places and I have just eaten here for the first time after seeing it's high star average. I am now inclined to believe the locals wouldn't know good asian food if it hit them in the face.

I can say confidently they are using some of the lowest quality mass produced meals generic chinese food suppliers product, it was simply disgusting, the chicken was like a jello of water infused grade c chicken glob, and tasted wrong, like chemicals almost, most likely old oil or a dirty pan... Spare ribs came with no sauce and was 50% fat. Rice and veggies were absolutely terrible with an unmistakably cheap freezerburnt taste, only gets two stars because the chefs do seem to know how to cook and everything was the right level of cooked, it just a shame they're being held back by such gross cheap tasting bulk food.

I would be ashamed to be feeding people such questionable quality food.
