So grand opening took place about 2 weeks ago, more or less, and family and I were indecisive this evening, so I took the initiative and thought it pleasing to try something new. There has been a lot of hype on Jollibee lately so I said why not. This review is an honest, unbiased, non-critic sort of review and thought it beneficial if someone looking to eat here was indecisive as we were, they might stumble upon my experience and save themselves the heartache and disappointment. We arrived 15 minutes before the closing time and were the only car In line at the drive-through. The staff seemed friendly when taking our order, After placing order we pulled up to the window, and i literally was literally being handed my food upon being handed back my change. So if time is a factor you won't find an issue placing your order here they are fast, So fast it makes you wonder how long that food was actually sitting there in the back before placing my order. I arrived home only to find out that my order wasn't placed correctly and I didn't realize that a $20 family pack came with 3 individual sides literally big enough to feed 3 individual people, and not necessarily enough for a family unless it's you, your wife, and your dog. I called to complain about this and was told that I am not the 1st person to make this particular complaint. They also mentioned that that is the correct way they portion there sides Which consisted of one small french frie, 1 mashed potatoe with gravy, a single mango pie, and 2 large cups of graveyard which I couldn't figure out their whole reason to exist in my order with the exception to possibly accommodate the chicken. In the end, the food was delicious, service was scary quick (considering we are ordering chicken), staff was friendly but unhelpful and unsuccessful in helping me understand how a family deal comes with 10 pcs of chicken, and 3 individual sides that may be enough to possibly complete a full meal for one grown adult if you include 2 pcs of chicken, leaving the rest of the Brady bunch to wrestle over 8 pcs of chicken and 2 senseless cups of gravey, with no additional sides. Hope this...
Read moreMy son saw a TikToc about this place. The closest one is 1 hour away. It just happened that we were driving by. We stopped and tried it, and OMG! it is way better than KFC and Popeys. When I had the first bite, it had a Filipino flavor. Which I Googled later, and it is a Filipino chain. I tried the fried chicken, mash potatoes, biscuit and gravy, the mango peach pie, and the Ube pie.
Chicken: Super moist and crispy on the outside and soft and tender in the inside. I tried the spicy and regular. I'm Mexican, so the spice level could have been a couple of notches higher, but I can see it would be a problem for those who have a lower tolerance. Overall, the chicken is a 9-10. It fell short of 10 because a couple of our chickens had small feathers still on them. For me, that's not a deal breaker. Which restaurant hasn't had that. If you're familiar with Filipino flavor, you will notice it's not as intense as a home-cooked chicken from a Filipino household.
Mash potatoes and gravy: There's not much to say. It's mashed potatoes. The star was the gravy. It was bursting with flavor. I even added it to the white rice. Rating 8-10.
Biscuit: Note, I'm not much of a bread person. The biscuit was nothing impressive. I will say it was better than KFC and Popeys. When the gravy was added, it took the biscuit to a whole different level. Biscuit rating 6-10.
Pies: Mango/Peach: This was delicious. It had the perfect crisp on the outside and super soft in the inside. It also was not super sweet. It had the perfect sweetness to it. Rating 9-10. Ube: I enjoyed it, but I think. People will either like Ube or not. It's Yam, so you get the starchy flavor. The sweetness was very mild. This was also the prefect crisp on the outside and softness in the inside. Rating 8-10.
Pineapple drink: Note, I'm not much of a fruit drink person. However, the pineapple drink was delicious. Perfect sweetness. Rating 9-10.
I want to go back and try the chicken sandwich. Hamburger, and sorta weird, they have it but the spaghetti.
My family usually eats family style, so we will make the drive and order all and try the...
Read moreCame in to get a meal for my family and waited 30 mins for my food. Half the food was ready (6pc bucket, spaghetti tray, burger meal) just sitting on a tray for 20 mins waiting for chicken sandwich?? -which was already made but probably taken for another order (again).. 3rd time I been here and the service is still the same... 2nd time I was here someone from drive thru took my items from my waiting tray to bag up for their drive thru customer which pissed me off because I had to wait another 12 mins to get my order finished!! EVERYONE IS EVERYWHERE!! There is no organization in staff! There should be designated staff for the lobby orders and for the drive thru; One or two for packing food; One or two for making sandwiches; a person for the fryers, ETC.... and at least check on people with a receipt in their hand and ask, "you ok?!?" "Did we miss anything?!" - not being acknowledged and ignored makes the wait worse! Last of all, don't prep the orders if all the items are not there yet!!! Leaving half the food to get cold and the rest fresh and hot... It doesn't...
