Beautiful building inside and out. Very nice atmosphere for the most part. Noise level was higher then I expected, and the lights flicker. I only noticed because I have sensitivity to light… I’m guessing either a bad dimmer or non dimmable bulbs being dimmed, probably wouldn’t bother most people. All together though, the ambiance is welcoming, modern and clean. Very enjoyable! Service started kind of weird with a random person asking if we wanted guacamole. No one had even taken our drink order yet so we were a bit confused but we were greeted by a waiter soon after who took our drink order. Service after that strange start was top notch. Our waiter was on the ball refilling drinks and pre-bussing our table, which is a miss at a lot of places these days. The only other service miss is when our food came out. If you have read any of my other reviews, you will know that one of my biggest pet peeves is food auctioning. Food should always be served to guests without having to have them claim it. The food was not brought out by our waiter, but there are systems and methods to easily implement that will allow anyone to bring food out and correctly place it in front of the person who ordered it. I did try the Mexican Mule. Delicious and served in a black hammered cup… well played! Food was mostly fantastic and the portion sizes extremely generous. The chips and salsa were pretty average. The ranch dip I didn’t quite get I guess. Seems more like something you would put on fries but we did also order the Queso Fundito Choriqueso. Watch the video on this review of when it came out. It came out fresh and bubbling HOT!! What a fantastic presentation! We tried the Pina Loca which was next level fantastic. We also ordered the Molcajete which serves two (at least). The mixture and flavors of the meats was crazy good. The beans and rice were very average. We also tried the shrimp quesadilla. Again, huge success. The only disappointment, and it was a BIG disappointment, was the flour tortillas. Not the ones used for the quesadillas, those were fantastic! The ones that came with the Molcajete and also with the Queso Fundito Choriqueso as a side wrapped in tin foil. Very generic and prepackaged tasting. They are very reminiscent of Mission tortillas that you get from your local grocery store. I’ve had better tortillas at Taco Bell. They should be at least at the level of Pancheros, pressing and frying up their own FRESH tortillas… and they’re a fast food joint. That Molcajete was a $42 plate and it was good but those tortillas definitely cheapened it. We actually send the first ones away that came with our appetizer only to be served more with our entree, bummer. Overall very good place, could very easily be a 5 star with a few adjustments. Authenticity? Somewhat… which is not always a bad thing. Some of these flavors are actually too sophisticated to be authentic but it is a good fusion of authentic and modern Mexican food without completely white washing and Americanizing it. Definitely recommend. I need to try a burrito next time. Something tells me their tortilla on a big burrito would have to be good.

Great flavors! I liked the modern atmosphere with lots of natural light. Service was great, everyone was very friendly and attentive. My Ranchero Special was a LOT of food with a piece of juicy well seasoned chicken and a piece of thin steak that was very tender and easy to cut and very lean. I have come to not expect a lot out of the rice at Mexican restaurants but this was very good, not oily at all and not crunchy. The refried beans were great as well as the pico. Tortillas were soft for some great fajita like action and this plate also comes with one chicken enchilada too sending you completely to the full zone. The chips and salsa were also very tasty with big onions and cilantro. There was a creamy dip with the chips too that had a unique flavor that I was neutral on but my wife loved. She also had the chicken tacos al pastor that had a tangy red sauce and flavorful pineapple on three soft tacos that were overflowing with meat. She ended up taking one home. The Pineapple Serrano and Jalapeño margaritas we had were great too. Could have been a little spicier maybe. Surprised they didn't have different sizes on the margaritas, the default was what you would consider a jumbo at other places but was perfect for us. We will be back to try the premium margaritas as well as some sizzling fajitas! Highly recommended :)

Hostess was not paying enough attention that when my name was called, she seated another customer that had come in much later than we had. I called her out on it when she came back and the response was well I can seat you now or do you want to wait? I want to be seated and so do the other 5 parties that were here between my name here in your list and where the chick you just seated is on your list. Again the response was so you want to be seated now or let them first. I should have known at that point to give my table away and leave bit we stayed. It is advertised as an upscale authentic Mexican restaurant.... Far from either of those descriptions. Looking at the menu I kept thinking man it's expensive compared to the other Mexican restaurants in town, it must be good. I would classify it as texmex not authentic and definitely not worth the prices. We shared two meals a quesadilla and enchiladas. The quesadilla was chicken with beans and onions. There were far more refried beans in it than chicken. The enchiladas were, 3, one shredded beef, was like bbq beef, one cheese was like canned cheese and one chicken, not hot. And the rice was like white rice that had been mixed with tomato paste. If I were to give a recommendation on this I'd say skip the Plaza and head to Azteca. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Another thing I didn't like is when it came to getting the to ticket they lay their handheld device on n the table in front of you and you pay on it with the server standing there watching, so if you are like me and rip on the actual experience not just the percent of the total they are hovering as you enter the amount. Not somewhere I wil make an effort to return and I love...

Overall summary is that they don't do anything that different from some of the other Mexican restaurants in town to warrant the price of the food. Bland flavors. Drinks are possibly a positive based on others opinions. Service was good. The atmosphere is nice, but the music was a little loud for my taste.

It was just me and my friend for lunch. We were immediately seated and had our drink order in. Chips, salsa, and white sauce soon arrived. My friend did notice what looked to be an eyelash in the white sauce. I notified the waiter and we were promptly given a new cup.

Salsa and white sauce was nothing exceptional. Good for just standard snacking, but I'm feeling they missed the mark on the flavors with these.

I ordered the birria tacos and my partner ordered the tacos de pallo, chicken tacos. Both were very bland. No real exciting notes in either dish. Loading the salsa and the white sauce on the chicken tacos helped a bit, but I expect the meat to be flavored without having to put on the sides meant for the chips.

Perhaps some of the other entrees have a lot more going for them, but just from this experience and the price I will probably not be going back.

As far as the drinks are concerned, my friend said she had one of the margaritas from a previous time there and that she enjoyed it. Also, had a couple friends say they had dinner there and they enjoyed their food and drinks.

I personally will not be...
