Armand's Bistro & Pizza — Restaurant in Delaware

So I have a place over by Seacolony and decided to try the pizza place across the street because it was a busy Friday evening I needed something quick and pregnancy cravings called for pizza! Walked over to order and there was a bunch of people in line. It was finally my turn and I asked the guy about how long it would take. He was very rude with the way he answered me and gave me a strange look and said “at least a half hour” Okay fine so I ordered my one cheese pizza and waited. A half hour rolls around so I go to ask if it is ready yet to a different lady, but the same guy I ordered with hears me and comes over to make sure he yells at me “no! It’s not ready yet!” Okay whatever so I wait about 5 more minutes and it’s ready…get back to my place and I swear to god it’s the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Literally no flavor at all. The sauce is bland the cheese is bland and the crust tastes like cardboard!! Not only that but the worst part was they sprinkles oregano all over the pizza which I’ll never understand why some pizza places do this. YUCK! I would never recommend this place to anyone!...

Ordered delivery Thursday night to Sea Colony. It was great that they were willing to deliver directly to the pool! The staff was friendly and accommodating.

However, the pizza was not great. We ordered a medium deep dish and a xtra large white pizza. The deep dish was not fully cooked. The dough was still raw in some spots. And the dough that was cooked, had no color to it. The whole crust/dough was pasty white. I should have expected this when they only quoted 45 minutes for the delivery.

My experience ordering deep dish from a restaurant is that it takes at least 30 minutes to fully bake. Whatever though, what do I know about cooking deep dish pizza, I just know ours was not fully cooked.

The white traditional pizza was good for the kids. But the parents passed.

Cheese steak hoagie was probably the best item we ordered.

Location: plenty of parking kind of what you would expect for a pizza shop, nothing fancy but does the job and plenty of outdoor seating no hand sanitizer available

Service: good, waiter was attentive, got the order correct and asked about allergies no one is wearing masks, but that seems to be the norm here in Bethany so not a big deal

Food: out of a party of 8, we had a variety from the menu (veal, salmon, ravioli, southwest salad, etc.) Only 1 of the orders was really a miss. Unfortunately, that one item was the deep dish pizza. The dough was not cooked/crispy enough. I read another review here and it was cooked more than that but still missed the mark. If it was only the dough I could have given a pass, but it was also the lack of sauce on the pizza.

Because everything else was good, I gave this place a 4 instead of a 3 since this is a pizza...
