Delizia's Pizza — Restaurant in Delaware

My wife and I were visiting the Delaware shore from DC and happened to stop in this place on our way to masseys landing. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Go to captains pizza instead! The whole place was filthy and had a pungent smell of filth. My wife said her mozzarella sticks were good however my cheeseburger sub was burnt and flavorless. You can see part of the kitchen when standing at the register and that is what concerns me the most. I saw them pull raw chicken out mixed with other foods it should not have been mixed with, the cleanliness of this place and possible cross contamination of food is what is most disturbing. I am willing to bet nobody in the restaurant is servsafe certified. This place would be shut down in DC! Absolutely filthy I just cant say enough how dirty and unprofessional this establishment was. I usually don't write reviews but felt it necessary in this case as I truly believe this restaurant is a public health hazard. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN EAT FROM HERE! I spent over $50 on food and the best thing I had was the can of soda. Very unfortunate experience and I will never eat here again. If anyone from the local health department is reading this please audit this establishment and their employees as well as their food handling procedures. They are going to make someone very sick. I no longer practice law as I am retired but I wouldn't be surprised if the owner of this restaurant was subject to fines and court appearances to prove immediate corrective actions have been taken to ensure public health and restaurant standards are met. Truly very sad to see in lower slower because many if not all of his neighboring businesses do it right. Save your money and your health do...

I very rarely leave reviews but I'm quite bothered by this situation. I've ordered from here many many times and I've always been happy with the food and prices until 2 nights ago. I ordered 3 pizzas (1 large 2 mediums) fries, onion rings, and broccoli bites. My bill was $97! I didn't order any kind of extravagant pizza with tons of toppings either, a simple Hawaiian with extra cheese, a mushroom olive and pepper with xtra cheese, and a meatball and bacon. We were charged for medium cheese pizzas with additional charges that range from $3.09-$4.12 for each individual topping. $4.12 for canned mushrooms is absurd to me. The sauce was incredibly bland and the dough wasn't cooked all the way through. I'm not sure if there's a new cook or they are short staffed but the food was less than impressive given the price which was absurd. I didn't cancel my order because I truly thought I misheard her but when the driver came I was quoted the same price. I had to request my receipt from the driver since I was not given one, and I paid a total of $110 to the driver ($97 for food and $13 tip on top of the $5 delivery they automatically charge) I kept my receipt and took photos so there's no discrepancy but this is incredibly disappointing and unfortunately we will no longer order from this...

6/28/24- placed an online order at 3:30pm to pick up at 5:30 pm.. TWO pizzas. Got there at 5:30… girls at counter could not find my order. Finally they went to another computer saw them hit a button and heard the ticket print out in the back. She comes back out. Oh another 10 mins… me knowing that they didn’t even start the order. I come back in at 5:45. Talked to same girls looking for order again in system can’t find come back out oh will be another 5 mins.. finally at 6:05 PM I get my order. Horrible service. Be honest with your customers if you miss and order most people are understanding.

I have worked in food business for years and this was horrible service. Will never go back again never got a I’m sorry this took so long or anything. Many other people in there also waiting forever. My order should have been ready since u please 2 hrs ahead of time and I got the confirmation saying the received my order. I will not be recommending this...
