This place is an absolute hidden GEM!
They have by far some of the BEST indian food I've ever had in Delaware.
I'm in LOVE with their masala dosas! For $5.99 not only do you get a massive crispy masala dosa made to perfection, you get huge amounts of delectable coconut chutney (my favorite, I eat it by itself!), tamarind sweet and sour chutney and delicious sambhar on the side. The masala rava dosa has all of the sides mentioned above PLUS extra masala (potato and onion filling). The portion is truly insane and enough to fill
I've also had their paneer curry which was divine. I can't say it enough but the quantity for the price is unbeatable. Since I'm vegetarian, paneer dishes are my go-to order at indian restaurants. I'm used to paying upwards of $10-$12 for one dish. For $5.99 you get an insane amount of paneer curry (enough to last at least 2 meals for me) AND rice. This is unheard of!
My brother is a big fan of their chicken biryani and goat biryani. We were both pleasantly surprised to see how much meat they put in the biryanis since we're used to seeing more rice. My brother tells me that the meat was tender and practically fell off the bone. Each portion is enough to feed him for at least 2 meals. Such good value for money!
To be clear the place is actually within an indian grocery store called Everest. They have tables and seats where you can purchase the food and eat in or you're welcome to take out (which is what we did).
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Not sure what the reviewer before me was referring to as the communication between the kitchen staff and the register was excellent. The people at the register were even able to call kitchen staff on their phone for details on a dish! Kuteer is relatively new and it seems like they're constantly making improvements as they go.
All in all, excellent food, fantastic portion sizes and...
Read moreHorrible horrible service, the server in the kitchen is so RUDE. He yelled at customers. For example, we ordered food to go but He brought it to window in plates. We didn't think it was our order since there system is to call out food names not order numbers. When we realized it might be our food, we told him it was to-go order. Now he was frustrated that he brought it in plate instead of to-go boxes and he yelled at us for not recognizing that it was our order.
Another issue during same visit was as we asked for container for food we had at the restaurant, he is offering used lid for the container. When we saw hat he was up to, we demanded for new lid and he asked "why?".. then upon asking for plastic bag to carry out food. He didn't want to give different bags to us and our friends. Now we weren't going to same place. How Does he think we would carry containers? Anyhow, this was my experience and horrible treatment. I won't...
Read moreI had a really disappointing experience with Kuteer Restaurant in Claymont, DE. I ordered one chicken and one goat biryani but received two chicken biryanis instead. When I called to report the mistake, they refused to fix it unless I came back to the store and showed them the food in person — no option to just send a picture as proof. There was no signage or information about this policy anywhere, which felt unfair and inconvenient. After I went back and showed them, they finally admitted their mistake and refunded me, but the whole process was frustrating and showed very poor customer service. I won’t be ordering...
