This is a large hotel with a adequate free parking. The main floor has modern updates ; however the rooms and outside has seen better days. The wallpaper is peeling and no attempt has been made to remove crayon scribbles and other droppings of white and/or red stuff on the walls. There was something thick and white on the rug by the head of the bed. We were allowed to move but YUCK!!! We had a room facing the pool but could barely see out of the window because it was so white and cloudy. The headboards are updated but the fixtures are old and many are partially hanging of the wall. The bar is okay...the drink I wanted was a mix rather than fresh. The bartender was insulting..he said he was going to have to get our money before he gave us drinks....but then had the nerve to announce Last Call. As far as I was concerned, my tab was closed and so was his tip. Also, we did not notice that glass bottles were allowed by the pool and was asked to close our wine. Prior to us going to Total Wine to purchase our wine, we observed two white guys drinking beer out of glass bottles with two empty bottles they had thrown back before we got there. The best thing about this property was the large rooms, the breakfast and breakfast crew(very friendly host and hostess) and the locaton. The rest leaves a lot to be desired.

When we first got into the room, we thought, ok, looks clean. Bathroom seemed ok. Beds were comfy, but I'm pretty sure they reuse the top blanket that was a thicker sheet. Until while we were sleeping apparently there has been a leak upstairs coming down into our room. My sister had water in her suitcase. Then we looked up, all kinds of water stains on the ceiling!! In the morning we were getting dressed and my sister was cleaning out her stuff, then water poured on her head and got into her bag! Sure enough, huge crack on the ceiling where water was leaking from! We were asked if we wanted complimentary $8 breakfast bags 🤣. And we never got an extra SMALL towel, we had to use hand towels, and there were 2 people at the front desk. Anyway...good thing it was for 1 night.

I don’t know if this place has people write fake reviews but honestly… its a dump! Run down, elevator was disgusting (floors black from spilled drinks, candy bar wrappers in the elevator), hallways had towels strewn all over the floor, qtips in the middle of the hallway, pool was full of bugs, vacuum cleaner was out on our floor and not put away, tables at the pool area were in a pile in the corner, walls needed painting, water that came out of our bathroom sink was yellow, shower head was leaking and spraying water all over our bathroom….. not worth the $200 I paid for a night… wish I could get a refund from this joke of a hotel!

This was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER and if you can, I would would say, look else where. Where do I begin; I reserved a room block for my wedding party back in November of 2018 for a April of 2019 wedding. Needless to say, upon checking in for my wedding, several guest were told that they did not have reservations for them (despite me receiving confirmations 2 days prior to my wedding). My guest never received a email notification notifying them that their reservation was cancelled and no one in the hotel could explain. Guest who paid for a Queen Room last year was placed in Handicap Accessible rooms as it was all that they hotel had left. It's gets worse...Two Staff members the guy behind the front Desk got into a verbal altercation that almost turned physical resulting in one of the guys picking up a pair of scissors and charging at the other guy as if he was going to stab him! The police was called to the hotel, and both employees were escorted out. Not only were the hotel staff fighting, but two different guest parties were also involved in physical altercations resulting in the cops being called again. The children in my bridal party were mortified and scared! My bridal suite was disgustingly dirty! The mattress had what appeared to be urine stains on them and the green chair had white (dripping) stains on it! Oh...it gets worse. After returning from my honeymoon and checking my charges, the hotel inadvertently charged my credit card $1,048 dollars. While I eventually got reimbursed, the process to do so took "2" days, and a lot of going back and forth between the front desk staff, HR/Controller and Director of Sales! Only to learn that someone else charges were charged to my card well after my departure. Oh...it's gets worse! I was asked to provide them with PROOF that I was out of the country on my Honey Moon and that I was not at the hotel during the period in question because according to their records, I had extended my stay (after my wedding/departure date). Mind you, I was out of the country during this time. Also, one of the employees had already confirmed that someone else's name, telephone number and address was assessed with the charges and fees charged to my card but the hotels controller denied that stating her records show that I had extended my stay. I said...well for $1,000 extra dollars, how many days did I supposedly extend by. She stated 3 days....well it does not cost $1000 for 3 days so again, it's not making sense. Additionally, if I had supposedly extended my stay, why didn't I have an email/documentation nor did the hotel that I requested to extend my stay. No, a mistake was made, and instead of just acknowledging it and swiftly refunding me based on the records, I was asked to show proof that I was out of the country (which by the way was no problem). Listen, the stay at this hotel...

ZERO STARS! - DO NOT STAY HERE - DANGEROUS HOTEL I was in town as a guest speaker at a conference, so this room was booked for me. When I arrived Friday night, the air conditioning was not working in the lobby. It actually felt like the heat was on, even though it was 67 outside. There was VERY LOUD inappropriate music playing in the lounge (the door was open) adjacent to the lobby--a constant stream of profanity as elderly people and families came to check in.

The desk clerk found my reservation and explained how it was booked through Expedia. She said that although something had been paid to Expedia, I still owed $81.70 for the room! I called the event organizer who came to deal with the situation. The room had been booked directly with Brandywine and NOT through Expedia, and that matter was settled with no additional payment.

I got to my room, and everything is dated as others have mentioned. There was an ice bucket, but no cups. There was no clock, no microwave and no coffee maker of any kind.

The bed was reasonably comfortable, though the walls seemed paper thin making it difficult to sleep due to overhearing conversations in nearby rooms.

I woke up at 6:20 to use the restroom, and that's when I realized there was no electricity and no water. I later found out that a pipe in the basement had burst overnight and shorted out the electrical system.

Fortunately, I was able to contact the organizers of the event I was attending so they could come get me. NO emergency lighting was on in the hallways or stairwells (thank GOD I was only on the third floor!), making my departure dangerous and scary.

Luckily, I could shower at the event organizer's house. Other hotel guests may not have had such options. I felt terrible for the elderly or disabled guests who surely had great difficulty leaving this hell hole, particularly if they were on the ninth floor. I left about 7:00 am, and no one was notifying guests that this situation was occurring. Likely, many guests were still sound asleep Saturday morning completely unaware of their predicament. Thank goodness there was no fire, because I don't think the alarm system or water sprinklers would've worked

Bottom line: STAY LITERALLY...

Good Morning I am writing this because I feel very disrespected A friend an I stayed last night 6/25-6/26 The front desk clerk told us that we were In titled to a complementary breakfast in the morning all you can eat from 6-10 So this morning we go down to get breakfast mind you we are both black and the only 2 black people down there and it’s a couple of white People as well So as we are about to fix our plates the cook comes out to put some more food out and walks right up to us ands says excuse me are you two together we said yes then he ask are y’all I titled to the complementary breakfast so we said yes the guy at the front desk told us, so he asks to see our coupons we said he didn’t give us any so he asked for our room # we give it to him He comes back and says out loud in front of the white People that you two didn’t get complementary breakfast when you booked your room so you will have to pay 14.95 a piece for a plate or you can’t eat Now we had the money to pay but who would want to stay an eat after being embarrassed like that in front of people I feel like it was a racism issue because out of everyone eating he only asked us the 2 black People An I would not have had a problem with paying the money to eat if he would have went about it in a different manner instead of just embarrassing us like that It’s sad that racism still exists like this So I guess because we were black we probably couldn’t afford to pay That’s how he made me feel Don’t know if I’ll be coming back and don’t think I will influence any of my good friends to stay here...
