McDonald's — Restaurant in Delaware

I was waiting for my order. When a male customer entered the restaurant without a face mask or gloves on. (State mandate says that face masks are required within a public area. And social distancing of 6 feet apart) this person then preceded to enter the food preparation area and give high-fives and hugs to employees. He then hugged an employee that was holding my bag with my food in it and stood and talked to her for about 30 seconds while she held my food right in front of him. There was absolutely no attempt by the manager to keep this person from doing this. I asked for a refund. Because I felt that my food was not handled in a proper way. I was promptly given my refund and then the manager told this person why I wanted my money back. This person then proceeded to yell obscenities at me and tried to get me to fight him within the restaurant. At first he stated he was a former employee but by the end of the argument he said that he worked there. I know it is not under your control what the public says. But I felt that because the employees and the manager made no attempt to keep this person from the food preparation area and away from the customers meals. That I should notify McDonald's of the situation. In these times when dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak this is a very negligent act by the employees the manager and this individual by putting the public at risk, and they should be ashamed of...

Is such an offbeat experience I have at this location. I will start with the one con I have here. The lock their doors to pedestrians and take out customers on foot at 8pm sharp. I get off work at 7 and take the bus home. Sometimes I dont get back by 8, and it's the only fast food within walking distance. I understand, because of the area, you need to keep safety a priority. But 8 o clock? Come on. 9pm is more reasonable. Now, on to the pros (surprisingly, there are many): First off, it's clean and has that classic McDonald's smell. The food has always been prepared hot and fresh. The one small special request I have is fulfilled without problems. Usually I have to specially request a side of breakfast sauce with my sandwich order in the morning. Any other McDonald's I've been to I've had to request each time. Sometimes they charge me for it, sometimes they don't. As a frequent flier here, it seems they have only charged me one time. And after requesting it once (or maybe twice) with the same employee on separate visits, the manager with the braids gave it to me without me having to request it, I suppose she remembered me, and I had only ordered with her once before. Such a small thing like that...

Every time I've come to this McDonalds the staff is always so pleasant... Great customer Service .. but as far as the food , the buns are always hard as if you had them forever in the back . My French fries are always cold , when I do get them cause half the time they forget the fries , the straw or something that I need to finish my meal. But my biggest problem with them is the drive thru supposedly closes at 12 . There's been several occasions where I waited in line before 12 and got all the way to the intercom and try either tell me that they are closed , or their out of what I'm ordering .. smh they just need to close this one and put the employees...
