Update: Of course, I still love this place. It's one of my favorite comforts of home. I stopped by yesterday to get my favorites; provolone cheese subs, cheesesteak sub, and crinkle fries. I got back to MD and couldn't wait to take a bite of my provolone sub along with my mom. My mother and I both looked at each and completed one another's thoughts. It wasn't what it has allows been. I am not sure if it was the lesser than normal pickles, oregano, or provolone, but it just wasn't as good. Now the cheesesteak sub and crinkle fries were perfection. Please Pizza Villa, if you changed the brand of provolone, return to the original brand and don't skimp out on the cheese. I have literally flown from Okinawa, Japan for your cheese sub. I understand inflation changes options, but this customer is willing to pay $15.95 for a large provolone packed filles sub with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, onions, PICKLES, salt, pepper, oregano, and extra oil. I'll be visiting MD again in April, and I'll return in great hopes that my next provolone cheese sub will be on point as usual. Thank you from a truly loyal customer.
I have been a customer of this establishment since I was in my mother's womb over 46 years ago. I LOVE Pizza Villa, and I have even traveled internationally for their Provolone Cheese sub. Most of the employees have been around for years and years, and that is why they stay at the top of their game. They have perfected the perfect pizza, subs, wings, and fries..., generation after generation. I made a trip from NYS 2 weeks ago for a cheese sub, and the amazing thing is I have passed this place down to my own son, and he loves their crinkle fries. He claims he'll always return to Lewes, even after I have gone, to remember the love shared at Pizza Villa...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I were really craving some crispy wings, so we searched around the area to satisfy our appetite. Unfortunately, our quest led us to Pizza Villa for their wing zings, which turned out to be quite a disappointment. The wings were overly salty, leaving us unable to even finish them. Regrettably, we had to toss them in the trash, making it a waste of money.
Adding to the frustration, Pizza Villa only accepts cash, and to make matters worse, the ATM inside charged a hefty $3 fee. It felt like a total rip-off, especially in this day and age where most businesses accept cards. It's frustrating to encounter establishments that seem to avoid card payments to save on processing fees.
In hindsight, trying to get wings from a pizza place might not have been the best decision. The experience at Pizza Villa left us unsatisfied and disappointed, both in terms of the taste and the...
