Chinatown Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Lewes

THIS..PLACE..IS..TRASH!!! I've been to some bad places before, but this is definitely in my top 5 FOR SURE!! Soon as we Got there the service was bad OFF THE RIP!! I wanted a big silver bowl that normally buffets keep in the kitchen. They brushed me off twice directing me to something I didn't ask for. The food...they don't have a big selection of food to choose from. That was disappointing. You stand in the center, do a 360, and you've seen all of the food. You don't have to walk anywhere. The food that I did get was OK...going down. I went with two of my cousins. One of cousins was in the bathroom for at least 15 minutes...releasing it out of the other end because the food didn't sit right. And the food did the SAME EXACT thing to me. We're from Jersey just outside of Philly. I don't know how I made it almost 5 hours to my house before I had to release it out of the other end myself. LITTERALLY as soon as I got in the house I ran to the bathroom. The food must have been THAT OLD!! The food is bad! The service is bad! The only good thing was the price. I was expecting to pay more than what I actually paid for the three of us. Other than that please I'm begging you PLEASE DON'T COME HERE!!!!!! SAAAAAAVE YOURSELF!!! SAAAAAVE YOURSELF!!!! Hell, just CashApp me if you wanna give away money lol...

Everything was going fine. The host was nice and sat me and my family of 5 like normal. It was our server who was the issue. Very rude. Once we got our drinks and we were set to go eat, she asked my mother if all 4 of us were her children (out of curiousity, no problem with that) and then she opens her eyes wide looking at me, saying that I was big. At first we gave her the benefit of the doubt and just thought maybe she meant tall but as our time there went on, it became more and more apparent that she was calling me fat, saying things like "maybe you should eat less" and dismissing them as playful jokes with "just kidding" afterwards. Now I am fat and this year I've joined strength and conditioning at my high school to lose weight. But I also work in the restaurant business and I think it's common courtesy to not insult your own paying customers. On top of all of this the food was absolute ass. And to top our experience off, the server pestered is before we were done eating and after we got our check, saying "soooo are you gonna tip me". We were just at a loss for words at that point. My family has been here before without me and they told me that she did the same thing, asking for tips and calling my brother fat. 1 star for not teaching staff...

We love this place because I have two boys that eat me out of house and home on a regular basis. The food is fresh and they have a huge fresh fruit section to the buffet as well as a nice little sushi section for me...there is something for everyone and they have Mac and cheese and chicken fingers as well as Chinese food.surprisingly, my son, the Mac and cheese expert, said it was better than most Mac and cheese places. Who goes to a Chinese place for Mac and cheese? I guess people with kids! There are constantly cleaning the place and there are always employees running around with cleaning supplies scrubbing down the buffet and the floors and the tables. Honestly, it was one of the best meals we had for the best price all summer long and we go there a couple times a month for lunch. It is always busy so the food turn over is fast and they do seem to be sticking a thermometer in the food to make sure it is at the right temperature. As my kids have grown, I have often had a herd of kids with me and have been to many buffet type places to feed them all and this is probably one of the best ones we have been to. Don’t go here expecting a five star gourmet meal. Do expect to come out satisfied...
