Smart Brasil Latino Market & Café: A Rehoboth Beach restaurant must visit!
If you’re searching for the best restaurants near Rehoboth Beach or something truly UNIQUE and REASONABLY PRICED, Smart Brasil Latino Market & Café is a must-visit! Owner Monica Oliveira has brought the vibrant flavors and warm hospitality of Brazil right to Midway Shopping Center, and I couldn’t be more impressed.
Authentic Brazilian Cuisine: From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly baked pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) welcomes you. The café’s menu is packed with popular Brazilian treats: coxinha, pastel, risoles, and açaí bowls. All made fresh daily. My coxinha was crispy outside and perfectly savory inside; the pastel with mozzarella & ham was amazing!
Grocery Selection: The market side features a fantastic selection of Brazilian staples. Rice, beans, cheeses, meats, chocolates, and more. If you’re looking to bring a taste of Brazil home, you’ll love browsing these shelves. It’s the only spot in town with such a variety!
Ambiance & Service: Smart Brasil offers a cozy, family-friendly space with cheerful decor and friendly staff. Monica’s passion is clear, and she makes every guest feel like family. Service was fast and super attentive. Even on a busy morning!
Sweets & Beverages: Don’t leave without trying their brigadeiros—rich chocolate truffles—and the açaí bowls topped with super fresh fruit. The Brazilian sodas and coffee are delicious and round out the experience.
Community Feel: Beyond the food, Smart Brasil Latino Market & Café is a hub for the local Brazilian community and a welcoming spot for everyone curious about Brazilian culture. It’s women-owned, family-run, and open daily with convenient hours.
Overall: Smart Brasil is absolutely five-star worthy. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, lunch, or stocking up on international groceries. The atmosphere, authentic flavors, and friendly vibe set it apart from other restaurants near me. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

Read moreFirst time visiting this place. We have been waiting for it to open since my mom is Brasilian and we lived in Brasil years ago. The place was better than expected, the employees were nice. We ate several things from the bakery there, ranging from lunch foods and deserts. We also purchased some items from the store. They have a variety of imported products ranging from frozen foods, canned foods, packaged foods and snacks. They have a decent variety of drinks, like Guarana and coffees. They also have beauty products and Bibles in Portuguese. We will definitely be coming back here and have also told our...
Read moreThis is by far the most authentic taste of Brazil I’ve found on US soil. Anyone and everyone must go even if you have no idea what Brazil pastels (pasteis) taste like or not. My husband never had it before and he is obsessed with them now. It is a hidden gem and I wish them many years of success. I will be traveling to Delaware more often just...
