Smash Shack in Delaware has quickly become one of our favorite spots! From the very first visit, I was blown away by how welcoming the owner, Jesse, was—such a nice and inviting presence. Stephen, the manager, is an absolute rockstar. His glowing, positive attitude is infectious, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about the customer experience. Every single staff member we’ve encountered has been amazing—friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there.
At this point, Smash Shack has almost become a weekly tradition for us. My fiancé isn’t usually a fan of burgers, but she loves this place! I always go for a double burger and wings, while she gets a single burger and chicken tenders. And honestly, we don’t eat out often—both for health reasons and to save on costs—but Smash Shack is worth every single calorie!
One thing I really appreciate is how they price their burgers and toppings. The base price is super affordable, and they charge per topping, so you only pay for what you actually want. Even if you load up on toppings, the final price still beats or matches comparable places.

First off DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! This old pizza shop turned into AN AMAZING OUTSTANDING burger joint!!
The burger is so juicy and delicious, the housemaid sauce is so so good! The toppings were so fresh and the bun was buttery and amazing!
The waffle fries were the best waffle fries ever, SO crispy and good! and i’m a huge fry fan and do not say that sparingly!
The person that was working this afternoon was phenomenal! He was super personable, friendly, kind and helped us decide what to order since we were first timers! He was by himself and did such a great job accommodating taking orders and cooking the food!
I didn’t try the soda because I am not a pop person but it’s not coke or pepsi it’s a very unique soda company! The other customers in the restaurant were talking about how good it was!
It’s more of a takeaway restaurant rather than a sit down but they did have one table we were lucky enough to snag the table for the 15 minutes as we demolished this delicious food!
I want to be a walking AD for this place because it’s so underrated and SO GOOD!!
