Today is my mothers 85th birthday. We were taking her out for a late dessert because my son worked late. I called to make sure they were open until 10p.m. She said "Yes". We got there at 9:10pm. There was no one in the front. The girl looked up from the back and said "ill be with you in a min" . She was absolutley MISERABLE. I was being super nice, trying my best to be polite, even though she look PISSED. My husband being a chef for years asked if they already cleaned the shake machine. Cause it was late...he was being nice. Both my kids wanted Shakes- they are a big part of the menu. She said " No we are all out of shakes and waffles. " Whatever, we knew she just didnt want to make them- so we all ordered cobbler- they have tables and chairs to sit at- which we were doing and planning on eating there. She came out with it all packed to go and said "here ya go". We had to unpack it- then all the ice cream wasnt on the cobbler, so we had to make them our selves. and my sons strawberry cobbler was just not edible. On top of all that- she takes the trash out- gives us a nasty look- comes back in and says "oh god" and rolls her eyes after she saw we were eating there. I felt AWFUL for my mom. We were supposed to go get Ice Cream but I suggested we try this place. BAD IDEA. I understand being ready to go home, but the store was still open. Horrible Service. How can u be out of every kind of shake? Come on..do. better. Now I have to make it up to mom...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure if this franchise is just getting started but seemed a bit chaotic and bare when we went for the first time tonight. Nobody up front at the register, everyone hiding in the back with no way to get their attention. My bf and I wanted to share a cobbler. Put an order in, gave our name and sat down at a table. We didn't have to wait too long for them to make it, maybe 5 minutes. But they brought it out in a to go bag. In fact, they brought everyone's order who was waiting out in a to go bag. They never asked if we wanted it to go and we didn't--we wanted to eat it there, especially because it had icecream. As soon as the lady handed us the bag, she ran to the back again. We opened the bag and there was only one spoon even though she could clearly see there were 2 of us sitting at the table waiting for it. Nobody ever came back out to the front, I tried waiting at the register but short of me opening the door to the back or yelling for her over the music and the talking/laughing noises coming from the back, there was nothing I could do. So we had to share a spoon. The cobbler was okay. Nothing too special but not bad either. It made me thirsty.. wish I could've gotten a drink, but nobody in sight. Probably won't go again as it was a very unwelcoming/bare space with bad...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWaited with hope about a unique dessert place. Portions are ridiculously small for the price. The apple cobbler was overwhelmed by cinnamon. The peach cobbler had peaches that were weirdly firm...not juicy. The food is in the kitchen,so I imagine it's for several reasons. The desserts aren't made there. There's no scent of products being baked. Secondly, I imagine the food is weighed strictly to maximize profit. Will never return.
To respond to The Peach Cobbler Factory. I can name many places that display desserts. The Cheesecake Factory,Cinnabon,Mrs.Fields countless bakeries, diners and restaurants. What atmosphere??? It's totally unwelcoming. A display case of example cookies, not actually the cookie you would receive. The cash register,a door to a bathroom and a door(not even with a window) to the back. Music could be heard from the back, but no music for the customers. So in answer, what atmosphere? Seriously,I hope you were asking me your questions to learn,as opposed to just being unable to...
