I ordered on DoorDash, it came hot and quick. The California Dog is the stand out. , The Texas Ranger dog would make Walker proud to be a ranger, The Jersey Dog was underwhelming compared to the others but still good(you should eat this if your not big on flavor or spice). The Kennet Square only got a bite from me because I was full and I needed to taste it to review. I am now highly irritated that I wasted stomach space on the Jersey when I could have had this Lil charmer. The chicken was done right in terms of moisture and texture/coating. There might be some copyright infringement issues because it seems like the chef may have worked in Walt's kitchen learned the receipe and techniques but forgot the salt and pepper. It has all the same flavor notes just no salt and not enough pepper. I also now wished I had tried the Delaware instead of the Jersey, but I was afraid I was going yo waste money because I don't really like hot dogs unless there burnt and black all over, but I am now confident that won't be an issue (I am scared tough that they might use craft and stoufers mac and cheese and then I will have to trash it, somebody's grandma needs to make that mac and cheese for it to be worth my time). The chilli they use to top of the dogs, they could sell it in a bowl, but it might taste different w/o the other hot dog toppins so well table that for now. I need yall to go to walks get their chicken but make sure the cook is over the age of 45 and figure out the missing ingredient it might be more than salt because that chicken is wants doppelganger right down to the color and flecks of black pepper. You get that right we will extend the scale to a 5 🌟...

Kind of a disappointment. I used to come to Johnnie's all the time but my last experience was a 3 out of 5.

I tried to order corn dogs (for the first time) but they said they were out, even though they had just opened. That makes me think their corn dogs might be frozen instead of house made. If not, I wonder why they couldn't make the batter to make corn dogs 🤔Another family came in and ordered. I could hear the dad getting frustrated while trying to fill their sodas at the machine. He told an employee that "the sodas are all out" (once again, they had just opened)

We ordered an italian sausage sandwich, chili dog, Reuben dog, and fries. Both hotdogs 🌭were good 😊 soft bread🍞, flavorful toppings🥓, and perfectly cooked hot dog🌭. But the italian sausage sandwich was a different story. 🙁

It had undercooked onion and peppers. There was also ratio issues. Too many onions and peppers (you could barely find the sausage), and the bun was too big. The fries were a bit overcooked, a little dry and bland. I don't normally put ketchup on my fries but these needed it plus salt.

Like I said, I used to love Johnnie's. We drive past Deerhead Hot dogs and drive all the way up to 202 for Johnnie's. Today was just a bit disappointing and I hope they can get back to the Johnnie's I used to love. Friendly service, great food no matter...

The food here is great, but honestly, the food could have been anything and I still would have left happy because of the incredible service I received. I came in on 9/16 around noon, and the young woman at the register gave me some of the most genuine customer service I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I walked in, she smiled and welcomed me with such kindness. While I waited (not even long), she checked in to make sure I was okay and even apologized for the short wait. It wasn’t necessary, but it spoke volumes about her character.

She didn’t just take an order. She made the whole place feel warmer, brighter, and more human. In a world where true customer service is rare, she stood out as someone who genuinely cared. I honestly felt compelled to write this review because of her. That kind of kindness leaves an impression long after the food is gone.

The food, of course, was delicious. But what I’ll remember most from this visit is her. I sincerely hope she knows how much of a difference she makes and how much she’s appreciated. She is the kind of person who will succeed wherever she goes, because she brings light and care into everything she does. I wish I got her name.

Cheers to Johnnies for hiring...

Update: went back for friends chicken & fries, and I am so glad I did. Crunchy, juicy, perfectly cooked, and good-sized portions. My ratings so far: Wings: 3/10, they should fry them WITHOUT BATTER & they'd be much better. As it is, the coat gets gloopy & falls off when they put sauce on them. Fries: 7/10, not the very best, not the worse, I'd describe them as smaller cut steak fries. Fried chicken: 12/10, the best, you may wish they spiced the batter a little more but you will eat every single bite, guaranteed. Original review: This is a review of their chicken wings only. Ordered 16 wings for $25. The wings themselves are good size, so although $25 is steep you do get value for it. The wings were soggy, though. Good wings should have crisp skin and the dressing should be coated on without making the skin soft. Also, they gave us 12 flats and 4 drumettes instead of equal numbers, which was weird. Also, the "traditional hot" sauce was not hot at all - I don't need it to bring tears to my eyes, but it would be good if it was noticeably hot at all. These would be better described as tangy. I will go back to try the fried chicken and burgers, but I don't have high hopes.

Hi, this is Malkey (RIAN G GEORGE) here from GMWILKIECO. Johnnies Dog House & Chicken Shack is a fantastic spot for anyone craving delicious comfort food. The diversity of the menu really shines, especially their 100% pure beef hot dogs—great flavor, satisfying, and worth every bite. The portions strike a great balance for the price, making it a solid value. The service was attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. While the aesthetics show some wear—likely due to the challenges brought on by the pandemic—it doesn’t take away from the overall positive vibe. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for sitting down to enjoy a great meal. The deep fried Oreos? They were among the best I've had! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised! Definitely a spot worth visiting for a solid meal and a good time. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out!
