I would give this place a zero star rating if I could. I ordered a lunch special yesterday, shortly after 3pm. The estimated delivery time was 3:55–4:10. After waiting and waiting, I finally decided to call at 4:20. A man answered the phone, but didn't get his name. I told him that I had ordered a lunch platter (Chicken Gyro) almost an hour & 20 mins ago & was just checking to see if the delivery driver was close or if they had an eta. He apologized, saying, "Give me a few minutes so I can check," so I said, “okay,” assuming he was putting me on hold to contact the delivery driver to get an update on eta, but nope. I was hung up on so I just decided to wait a few mins. Well here we are another 10 mins goes by & still no food so I call back yet again and explain to the same man who picked up the phone the first time that I placed an order almost an hour and 30 mins ago. You told me to wait a few mins & I did, an still nothing. I need to get an exact eta otherwise, I will have to cancel my order because unfortunately, I am at work and will be leaving for the day in an hour & half & cannot keep waiting around. He apologizes again & says “yeah, I’m sorry about that. We’re running an hour and 20 mins behind for delivery but the driver is on his way & will be there in a few mins.” I told him, listen, I’ve already waited over an hour and 20 mins and keep getting told just a few mins. If they aren’t here in a few mins, I just want to cancel my order & get a refund but I will wait a few more mins (since I was hungry and hadn’t eaten anything since earlier that morning). We hang up the call. Next thing you know, 5 mins rolls around & my phone rings. It season’s again I’m thinking it was the guy calling back to tell me the driver was outside, but nope, instead he was calling to tell me he was sorry but cancelled my order & refunded my money back to me bc the delivery driver was 10 mins out still, not to mention I work less than 10 mins away. I am a repeat customer and will not be ordering from this place again. Horrible horrible service. Do not waste your time or money...
Read moreTonight (8/29/17) my girlfriend and I had dinner there. We were seated by a very nice hostess. Everything was fine, except our waitress was no where to be found. Ten minutes passed before the hostess recognized our wait and brought us out our drinks herself since our waitress was non existent. Paul (very nice) came up to us and instead of asking if our waitress had seen us yet began to explain the specials. After about 20 minutes of not seeing our waitress, we finally saw her face. She had been walking around attending to other tables and ignored us. She did not introduce herself but after investigating ourselves we found out it was a very unusual name. She was the most non personal waitress I have ever had, making her non professional as well. Food came out in a timely matter, however, she forgot my ranch that I had asked for. Wasn't a big deal but I love ranch with my pizza. She did not check up on us once until I waved her down. Our waters were empty and so we asked for refills, my ranch, along with a box (we just wanted to leave). After waiting another handful of minutes, we finally received our bill. However, it was completely wrong. After another 5 minutes of her not coming to check on the bill, we had decided enough was enough and we went to the counter to pay for our correct bill. The manager fixed the problem but was in absolutely NO WAY apologetic. He, along with our waitress, did the bear minimum. Our waitress kept going to other tables before us and I lost my appetite. We saw her a total of 3 times. I'm pretty sure a store owner sat next to us too, even he didn't notice our displeasure with the service. Staff members, along with Paul, kept gathering around this man and shaking his hand; which was one reason we were neglected. The only person we were satisfied with was the hostess. She did her job and some. They lost my girlfriend and I as customers that's for sure, however, we still left her a good tip. (5 bucks out of our special 8 dollar bill). Wish service was better, cause...
Read moreSeasons is a local chain of restaurants serving pizza and other Italian favorites in a crowded market. Overall, I enjoyed the offerings Seasons served though I do have a couple critiques as well. This particular location is in the Talleyville area of New Castle county just north of Wilmington right on US 202 (Concord Pike) and is pretty easy to find. Plenty of parking as well. The atmosphere is what you'd expect, nice and clean and very contemporary. If you're expecting a rustic Italian family restaurant, this might not be your go-to but it is clean and generally spacious. I went early on a Friday evening and it wasn't too crowded though there were at least several tables with customers so it wasn't empty. The service was good as well with the server providing a good turnaround on refills or whatever I needed. The server was also polite and did well answering any questions I had. Being a Lenten Friday, I had to be a little creative with what I ordered for my main, which I went with a small pizza with a couple vegetables (tomato and spinach if I recall). The crust was nice and crispy and was slightly thinner than a Philly/NY-style crust but not quite Tavern/STL-style thin. Since it was crispy you couldn't quite fold it though, but I was nice and fresh. The sauce and vegetables also tasted good and overall I enjoyed the pizza. I also liked that they had herbs available to garnish your pizza with, which I have been doing more frequently with my pizza slices. The mozzarella sticks though were good, but were not quite to my liking, though. They were fresh and warm and had a crispy outside, but the cheese wasn't as stringy or gooey as I prefer. The sauce was good and worked well with the mozzarella sticks. As they have a wide selection of dishes on their menu, I would like to come back and give them another try and see if there are other items on the menu I would enjoy. I definitely hope the service I will get next time is at least as good as my...
