Tung Hsing House — Restaurant in Delaware

The worst experience! Ended up arguing with the woman on phone trying to order bc she accused me of never picking up a previous order, although I never ate there before! She wanted me to come in & order. I explained I was coming bc of great reviews & had never called before but she didn't believe me & continued to be rude but took my order. I soooooo wish I didn't even proceed but did.... bc the food was nasty! I don't know what kind of meat the "chicken" was but not chicken!... so bad the stray cat outside didn't even eat any of it! Only thing good was broccoli, from that dish. The "fried" dumplings had zero taste & were boiled then just pan fried..not completely fried. The pork mai fun was mostly noodles & hardly any sauce. Only thing decent was the egg roll. We were very disappointed! Not sure how anyone is giving good reviews here...unless ordering online & just getting eggrolls & other certain specific...

Ok so first off the food here is decent for a American Chinese Restaurant. The issue I have is that the website doesn't allow you to add modifications, like it used to, to orders you make.

Which is frustrating and since calling into the restaurant to let them know the simplest modifications, such as "extra spicy" or "no onions", is a hassle with multiple people there having a language barrier.

One time, one of the persons who answered freaked out because I asked for steamed or boiled wontons instead of fried. "No, no we can't do that...never, no!" She said obviously upset. Which I have asked for said request online, when it was possible to make modifications online and it was never an issue.

Save your money!!!!! Do not frequent this place. They are not kind to African Americans. The food was not cooked well. The taste of the food was bland. On top of this the service was horrible. The lady taking orders was rude and yelled at my elderly mother. When my mother went to pick up our order the lady forgot to give my mother her credit card. When we called about the now missing credit card. She yelled and called my mother a liar. She never handed the card to my mother for her to take.
