TONIGHT YOU LOST A VALUABLE CUSTOMER.
Not to long ago. we had the worst experience to date with papa John's. Corporate, made things a little better with a few free pizzas and those orders were as they should be..... (interesting how that is).. but no consequences for the employees actions im sure.
TONIGHT, we place are typical order and the following happens.
app stated our order was on its way for close to 40 minutes when we live 10 minutes from the store. our order arrived about 50 minutes after it left the store that is 10 minutes away
I called the store over 7 times to ask an e.t.a on our order and they wouldn't answer.
The driver finally shows up and hands over our order. i bring it inside and inspect it closely (excessively close) because its papa johns, it needs to be.
right away i notice that there is no security seal on the pizza box bit is on our other order. (thats the second time) and our 2 extra garlic sauces wernt in the box
I look outside and noticed the delivery driver is hanging out in front of my house so i run out to ask about our garlic sauces. As i approach his car on the passenger side i get to see him with his hands in his pants playing with him self. I just wish i was recording the The look of shock on his face when he sees me standing there to post on social media. and posting my experiences on social media is exactly what i will be doing.
He then starts fumbling around trying to cover up what hes doing. Once he sees that im not just going to walk away he starts to pretend that im not even there....i continue to stand there and he finally opened his door. I mentioned the sauces and he asked if i wanted him to go back to the store, i said well we paid for them and i would like them so yes please, he responded with (call the store, i have other deliveries to make)
I load up my order in my car and head to the store, as i explained to the manager why i wanted my order remade he tried to cut me off because he didn't care to hear my issues. and apparently drivers that handle people's food and there selves is perfectly exceptable .
Oh and by the way, the delivery driver that couldn't go back to the store because he had other deliveries to do......was at the store. (hmmm he wasn't expecting me to show up. same look of shock when he saw me and he went into the back room and hid until i left) (probably to finish playing with him self)
Manager, remade my order and they forgot my 2 extra sauces. i had to ask for them as i was leaving the store. while i was waiting, the phone was ringing off the hook. and after about 20 calls one guy answered the phone and placed them on hold. the manager said thats why you shouldn't answer the phone, just let it ring. then i noticed a guy that comes from outside most likely smoking and started making pizzas but of course didn't wash his hands.
papa John's, a word to the wize. you should terminate your entire newcastle staff and start over. If you actually give a damn about customer satisfaction you would consider this. I have been a longterm dedicated customer, as of tonight papa John's will never see another dollar from me. and if you were smart enough you would look into you gross earnings from the newcastle store and see that you rapidly loosing money. get it together papa John's, business can only stay in business for so long when there ran the way...
Read moreI placed an ordered on 11/28/23 for two med two top pizzas via delivery between 7:30-8:00pm EST. This was the third time my product was not up to quality. The dough is uneven and all toppings are placed on a single side. I submit a complaint on 11/29/23. The complaint was for the nearest papa John’s location and the store manager called and rudely informed that they didn’t deliver the pizza, another location did. I called the delivery location and a female employee who claimed she was a manager told me the next time I order, I can get the same order for free as a courtesy. Today (12/03/23) I called the location and a male employee answered and confirmed there was an order placed but no coupon or offer for me to get the free pizzas. this employee was disrespectful to me. Told me he can’t ‘verify’ anything and won’t send anything free of cost. I told the employee I don’t care about the free pizzas even though it was promised by your store employee, but I would appreciate if you could take my feedback/ complaint and work on this issue as I am a regular customer. The male employee I was speaking to told me that he can’t help/ doesn’t want to, and that I should go online and hung up on me. I’m highly disappointed with the ignorance that when a regular customer calls nicely to provide feedback, you promise them something and don’t live up to it, and the next person who should be fulfilling the promise, is even more rude and refuses to offer a resolution. Read moreFirst time I have been forced to write a review for a place I didn't even order from. I was not home at the time of delivery, delivery driver handed food over to a guest at my home and he unknowingly took delivery thinking we ordered. Upon returning home I was told about the mixup but it was too late, my kids excitedly opened the pizza and had eaten a slice each. Couple minutes later the driver shows back up this time he is hurling threats and insults towards me(this is the first I have seen this man). So basically they would have re-delivered this pizza to the correct address had we not taken a slice. We have ordered from here before but never again. I would have been more than willing to pay for the pizza that was eaten but once you handle an illiterate drivers mistake as a child you will not have cooperation from either party. As a company that situation should have been handled as professionals and taken the $12 loss and a lesson learned for the driver seeing as the food definitely got thrown away as soon as the driver returned to the store. I have a rather large family, every time we ordered the total for the orders are generally more than double the $26 order that was delivered by mistake. Not to mention we are very good tippers as well. Plenty of competition around to where we will not be missing out by not using papa John's...
