Overall I would give this experience a 3. This is a newer establishment and I hope that they succeed. However, during our 1 HOUR wait for food I had time to reflect, write a novel, watch my child grow up and write this review.
Ambiance 4/5: The ambiance is nice. My wife really liked the way it looked. I didn’t think it was that impressive.
Food 3/5: The food was decent. I want to emphasize. It is nothing amazing. It 30 MINUTES JUST FOR AN APPETIZER. The empanadas were good. Flavorful we got the duck and the spinach one. My aunt and I got the bowls. The bowls have varying proportions. My Aunt got WAY MORE FOOD even though we ordered the same thing. Again the flavor of the food would have been a 4/5 but the wait… oh my GOSH THE HOUR WAIT FOR THAT SMALL BURGER made it not worth it. I wanted to leave 45 mins into the wait. The burger bun looked like they shopped at Publix for the burger bun. At least they could have grabbed an Aldi Brioche bun to make it look nicer. Flavors again were decent.
Service 2/5: The guy was a little odd. He was nice but at the same time he felt kinda condescending. I know he meant well but stand tall and talk to us customers.
At the end of the day I believe this restaurant is new and I wish them the best. But they really have to step it up. I’m sure it would have been a nicer experience if there was only us 3. But it felt like they couldn’t handle the 10-12 people that...
Read moreI figured all those reviews could not be wrong. And they weren't. Enjoyed several things on a Tuesday and came back Saturday ay to try more. Empanadas, chicken mole, beef bacon, grass fed burger (you should flaunt the grass fed and high quality ingredients IMO.)
Everything we tried was great. Enjoyed chatting with the owners as well.
It's pretty well hidden, you'd never accidentally drive by this place. But since you are reading this, you should know it's well worth the detour to find it.
It's in the back of a cute little Warehouse district that has some interesting places in it. For example, a chocolate place, a pierogi place, a cava bar, a coffee shop, some artsy places and some wellness places.
A couple of suggestions. 1. Offer some additional salad dressing options. We came with the entree salad in mind, and it was super fresh and tasty, but an additional dressing option or two would have been appreciated. 2. Offer those empanadas as a take out 6 pack. Personally, I would order some and freeze them for later use. (Or maybe half cooked and pre frozen?)
I think they are on to something and I'm hoping they figure out how to make this work without the foot traffic or a high visibility location.
That said, I'm looking forward to returning and trying the rest of...
Read moreSantana’s Kitchen and Cocktails is an absolute hidden gem in Delray Beach. From start to finish, our experience felt like a love letter to Latin flavors, crafted from scratch, rooted in tradition, and made with so much care. We ordered the vegan burger, the pumpkin quesadilla, the ceviche, the passion fruit mousse, and cocktails. Every single item was fully vegan and absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love.
It’s incredibly thoughtful that Santana’s includes such creative, flavorful vegan options on their menu, making sure everyone can enjoy the experience without feeling like an afterthought.
The service was superb, warm, personal, and attentive without being overbearing. The whole experience felt homey and authentic. And beyond the food, I really appreciate Santana’s commitment to sustainability: compostable materials, reduced waste, and mindful service that aligns with their values.
When you dine here, you’re not just enjoying incredible food, you’re supporting a restaurant that truly cares about its community, the planet, and every guest who walks through their doors. We’ll...
