Today was the last time I’ll ever give UPTOWN PIZZA any of my business or recommendations to people. I’ve been coming here for several years But I’ve noticed that lately, in 2024 their food has tremendously gone down in quality.
I had a horrendous experience at Uptown Pizza today. Despite explicitly requesting an extra-large cheese pizza well done, what I received was an abomination. Upon entering the establishment, I was promised a freshly baked pie straight from the oven, (5 minutes old he promised) but I suspect it had been languishing there for hours, if not overnight. The audacity of reheating old pizza and passing it off as fresh is simply appalling.
As if that wasn't bad enough, when I finally received my order, it was still as soggy as a wet sponge. Despite their assurances, the pizza remained disappointingly limp and unappetizing, even after attempting to salvage it in my own air fryer. I didn’t see it, but he cut it so he knows for sure it was soggy when he handed it off to me in the box. WELL DONE is not SOGGY! Limo feast and GROSS! 🤮🤮 It's evident that the staff couldn't care less about customer satisfaction or basic culinary standards.
What's even more infuriating is that they had the nerve to rush me out the door when another customer arrived, To use the oven to heat his pizza! Further demonstrating their blatant disregard for quality service. It's baffling why they would allow me to leave with a subpar product when I explicitly requested it to be well done. It's clear they have no respect for their customers or their preferences.
As someone who grew up in Brooklyn, I have a discerning palate when it comes to pizza, and Uptown Pizza failed miserably to meet even the most basic expectations. I have no intention of ever returning to that dismal excuse for a pizzeria. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this...
Read moreI have been eating and ordering from uptown pizza before it was even called uptown pizza. It used to be named Picasso’s. They have delivered to me on several occasions and I have used my debit card on several occasions. Not once had I had an issue. Well tonight that changed. I called to place an order for delivery and wanted to use my debit card like I’ve done in the past and was told and I quote “Because of where I live they can’t take my debit card because it might be stolen”. I have never in my life heard of a restaurant or store tell a customer b/c of where they live their method of payment can’t be taken because it might be stolen. I was FURIOUS at the comment. To me that was discrimination and that was a kind of a racist statement. I tried to call back and speak with a manager or the store owner and that same guy picked up and told me he was the owner. 10 minutes later another guy called me to try and smooth things over and said i was talking to one of the young guys who work there and didn’t know what they were doing. So now I’m really confused. Who was I talking to? The store owner or a young guy who didn’t know what they were doing??? I work hard everyday for my money and for it to be suggested that I’m ordering food with a possible stolen debit card is CRAZY! I would NEVER spend another dollar at...
Read moreThe manager Jessica is the rudest most unprofessional, disorganized, classless human being I've ever encountered. I ordered a pizza at 5:26pm through their app. I was told my pizza would be delivered by 6pm. At 6:55pm (almost and hour and half later) I called the restaurant to find out why my pizza hadn't been delivered yet. Jessica, who announced herself as the manager, answered the phone and had no idea what my order was. She sharply told me their printer was broken, my order was never printed and I'd have to wait 30 more minutes to get my pizza. She offered no apology, shouted to another employee and tried to rush me off the phone. When I asked for the owner Tony she told me he wasn't there. Her solution was "either cancel your order or wait 30 more minutes". I'm a restaurant manager myself and would never EVER treat a customer so rudely, especially when the mistake was the restaurants. I usually order 3-4 times a month from Uptown but I will never EVER order again thanks to Jessica's unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for customer service. I hope Tony hires a better caliber of staff if he doesn't want to loose...
