HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Whomever the restaurant manager is needs some more training. A manager named, Amber, was FANTASTIC!! Unfortunately, she miss wrote down our order that was to be credited due to my father having a food allergy. The store manager proceeded to argue with my father that the order must be remade as it was written by her employee. We have a receipt but was never told it needed to be presented to redeem the credited order. Amber also ADMITTED she took the order correctly, remembered my dad and his order, and that the employee on shift making the original order was rushing back from break, messing his sandwich up. I called on my father’s behalf to explain his order was wrong again! He is DEATHLY allergic to tomatoes and restaurant manager proceeded to argue with me after she already argued with him in person. I asked how does she hold her employees accountable, not to get Amber in trouble, but the fact that their protocol was not followed and now we have 2 sandwiches in the garbage after they collected our money. I’m still looking for a response from Larry, the owner. I called your store over 10 times in hoping to collect your information when the store manager offered it. She did not like that I dismissed her like she continued to do while yelling into the phone. She then refused to allow me to escalate. Told me that you do NOTHING to help customers. Instructed her staff to ignore my phone calls and threatened to call the police for harassment. In the meantime, the Burger King location in Debary/Deltona will be helping us by comping our order and food service moving forward. The DM, Justin, called me back IMMEDIATELY and apologized on their behalf, even though Elkams location is not under him. Exactly what I would have expected from any restaurant, accountability & correction. I didn’t even ask for another burger, I honestly didn’t have the chance to if I wanted to. Thank you Justin. Larry, shame on your store manager. Amber and a few other employees are always great when I come through the drive thru. Read moreFrom the time I entered into their parking lot to get my correct food took 25 minutes. Went thru drive thru guy at 1st window reviews my order it was wrong he corrected it & had to add on addtl. item which changed total. He told them up front what needed added to my order via his head phone set. Get to 2nd window and they are piecing the order out a little at a time and then finally the remainder all in one bag...I glanced in and it looked ok but moved forward to go thru more thoroughly and of course it was missing items....I go in only to have to wait longer....Mgr comes out to help expedite orders and she is continually yelling back to those preparing food telling them to make this and that for items missing so they can actually complete an order....She finally sends one order out and low and behold it was still missing items..... The lady at the register inside oh my gosh who hired this woman....she has no sense of urgency and was so rude...if you hate your job then quit please !!! Do yourself and everyone else a favor.....she was harassing this elderly couple over wanting to use a coupon....kept telling them she was going to up charge them because they wanted to switch the coffee for a small tea...really lady...I think she was making that up because she seemed aggravated because they wanted to use a coupon....she should be ashamed.... She talked like she was in slow motion...moved like she was in slow motion and all with a scowl on her face....as she slugged her way over to get my missing items she got side tracked by helping another employee get missing items for their order.....I'm like what the heck guess I'll just keep waiting....by the time I got my missing items and got home my food and coffee was cold & a couple of the sandwiches were made incorrectly...asked for no egg on 2 got egg on both but no cheese....what a waste of time and money! Please Owners take a look at existing Managers and Staff maybe time to hire some people with some common sense and people skills....this isn't rocket science...I'm sure there are people out there that want a job and are...

6/20/2021I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat on the way back to the office. I was on Haulover so I could have gone to either the Howland BK or the Elkam. I chose Elkam because I have not been this way in a couple of weeks. When I arrived the drive thru was backed way up so I came inside. I was greeted by the cashier. The greeting was not friendly or pleasant but more robotic. I ordered two whoppers Juniors with cheese. Six dollars? Could have got two whoppers for the same price. Anyway I waited and waited and saw the truck leave the drive thru window that had pulled in behind me. I was the only person in line and ordered right away. 4 people had come in behind me and ordered. Finally I got my order. I left and headed back to the office. The whopper Juniors were messy and looked like everything was piled in the center and the burger squished down and closed. Changing my long time 4 star review to two stars. I will keep going to the Howland BK which is excellent. I will give this location a try again in a few months to see if they can get their act together.
2017 I have visited this Burger King location regularly for the past 15 Years. It is a franchise unit and has always had good quality food and friendly staff. I am closer to the Debary BK but will drive 8 miles across Deltona to this location rather than going to the Debary or Orange City Burger Kings.
I hope this franchise owner would consider opening a location on the other side of Deltona. Providence and Doyle/Debary or Providence and Normandy would be great locations and we are dying for a better dinning and takeout services here.
