Five Star Pizza — Restaurant in Deltona

We decided to give our favorite Five Star another chance and I’m so glad we did. We were able to speak to the manager at the store, and she was kind enough to take our feedback and offer a solution, which was so thoughtful and really shows how much they care about maintaining a good relationship with their customers and regulars. Not only that, she offered to make the pizza herself to ensure it was made correctly, which was so kind of her to offer to do.

The pizza was absolutely perfect this time around, and was exactly the same quality as we had always had before! Cooked perfectly, a great size to split, toppings distributed just right. Couldn’t have asked for a better pizza.

Thank you, Five Star, for really showing how much you cared in that call! We have been customers for a good while and that validation of our experience has further confirmed why we love this place and would always recommend it above all other local pizza joints. Nothing beats a Five Star Pizza.

We have been going to this pizza place exclusively for the past year, and the quality is almost always perfect!! The pizza is always hot and fresh, cooked to perfection, and the workers are all very friendly. It's a small store but very efficient.

However, yesterday, we had a different experience than the many others. We were given the wrong size pizza with no garlic crust, as we had ordered. When we called to sort it out, the person on the line insisted the pizza was what we ordered rather than hearing our concerns. At the end of the day, yes it's just pizza, but I'm disappointed in our experience, especially with a place we have loved and have talked highly of since we discovered it. We know what we ordered, and what we received...

I've tried this pizza place a handful of times now, the staff is always very nice and I love the pepperoni rolls (my 3 stars are for those 2 reasons). However, I definitely don't love the pizza. It tastes identical to Little Caesar's pizza. (It's slightly better quality, but the taste is spot-on.) The crust was nice and puffy like I personally prefer, but it was quite bland. I wouldn't get pizza from here again.

Additionally, the "cinnamon rolls" are just pizza dough rolled up with an odd-tasting cinnamon mixture and a pouch of sugary icing. Don't get them thinking you'll get cream cheesy cinnamon rolls.

Overall, the price is a bit high for the quality you're getting, but it's not necessarily the WORST in the world either.

Edit: updating my review down to 1 star due to the business' unprofessional response. I see they're attacking anyone leaving a poor review, which is truly just sad and pathetic. Any business owner should be aware of how Google Reviews works. To claim someone is lying because "no one with that name ordered here" is laughably ignorant. As if someone else in the household can't order food? You can't attend a get-together and decide to review the trashy pizza served? Some real geniuses running the place, clearly. Also, the "finest ingredients" is a bold claim (and an outright lie), given that it - again - tastes like cheap, bad pizza. You buy the cheapest option at whatever wholesaler you and every other pizza place uses. Get serious. At LEAST one other review mentions the poor taste and specifically mentions Little Caesar's. And no effort to back up your cinnamon rolls? If your pizza is SUCH good quality, surely you apply that standard to all menu items?...

I have been recommended to try this place for a while. My only complaint is that I didn't try it sooner. From the second the call was answered you could tell the person on the phone cared about their customers! Very happy friendly and helpful. They made great suggestions. And made our mid-week dinner the easiest it's ever been! "I have teenagers in football and cheer and a very pregnant wife" I called it in came to pick it up and it was ready exactly when they said it would. Which is an achievement in it self. Everyone there seemed to enjoy what they were doing. And everyone was busy but stopped as I walked in to ensure they acknowledged I was there. Again a thing that is rare these days. I told the employees "even if the pizza is trash the people will bring me back" THE PIZZA IS AMAZING AND ID COME BACK JUST FOR THE GARLIC BUTTER ALONE! I can see why they come so highly recommended and I will 💯 be back and we may be back this week lol. So to the whole crew you absolutely nailed it! From the with voice like honey...
