We have always loved this place up until today. We ordered a large Sali's Special for pick up for Sandi at 5:10 on Sunday evening, Easter Sunday. They said 20 minutes. No problem. We were driving through town heading home. We got there early ad sat in the parking lot until time and watched 2 other cars pick up their pizza.
The lady at the window was very friendly. She told the guy behind her my name and the guy handed us our pizza. We placed in in the back and drove home. We live 5 miles outside of town so this is not convenient for us, that's why picking it up on the way home was perfect.
When we got home, I realized that the pizza I received was a medium not a large and it was not a Sali's Special because it only had sausage or hamburger and black olives on it, no green peppers, onions, pepperoni or mushrooms.
When I called the lady got very defensive and told me "You bring it back to prove it. You order large, we make large. It not possible." She basically called me a lair 3 different time. I was very sure and was trying to tell her that we got the wrong order, which would have been no big deal, except for HER ATTITUDE. I even asked if I could send her a picture and she said no.
It is super sad that we will have to find a new pizza place here in Denison, where there are not many places to choose from. This place reminded us of our favorite pizza place back home. Just sad.
Because she was not willing to listen to me and because she accused me of being a lair, we will not be going back.
P.S. The picture of the pizza has a 12 inch paper plate on it, proof that this was a 14 inch medium pizza not a 16 inch large. Also, look at the toppings, it is obvious that it was not the pizza we ordered.

Read moreThe people were friendly and it was clean. The food was just ok, a lot of overpriced tomato sauce and noodles. I had the eggplant parmesan it wasn't terrible but not as good as the frozen you can buy at Walmart. It would be a good choice for a vegetarian. It was served with a little bowl of spaghetti without meat. Connie had the spaghetti with meat balls it had the same sauce as my eggplant. The meat balls were not really meaty tasting either, about like the frozen one at the grocery store only larger. The bread had a little to be desired as well, it tasted like it was brushed with burnt used oil. The salad was ok,just iceberg lettuce and a small tomato slice and a pickled pepper. The ranch dressing was ok but I didn't like the fact that they put it on for you there was too much for my taste and it was pretty soggy by the end. The tea wasn't too bad but had an instant taste to it. They had a good solid 4 stars till we got the bill and it was 36 dollars before tip. This type and quality of food should have been more in the 20 dollar range (I'm my opinion). Hopefully their pizza is better. Give them a try maybe it is...
Read moreGreat little "authentic" place. Food was delicious! Only drawback was being surprisingly charged for every tiny add on, (items we weren't told or reasonably expecting to cost extra) and some other questionable billing issues due to an order mess up that was NOT our ordering error.(We're fair). We graciously agreed to take the messed up order as our to go order for the family at home. (During Covid times, we assumed since it was brought to our table it would have been considered waste.) It was Made clear this was not our intended to go order, at all, and yet, were still charged for it. I would have handled the situation differently if it was my establishment. The items were not clear on the bill- hard to tell what was being charged for exactly what. BYOB place too. Those billing issues Left a "salty taste" at bill time....and afterwards. Probably Not the way most small businesses want patrons to leave - feeling, especially when it undermined...
