Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Denton

we were sat at a dirty table and waited 15 minutes just to get our order taken after being passed many many times by other servers. We did not even know who our server was for the first 20 minutes in the restaurant. No greeting at all, once we finally ordered it was over 10 minutes before we received our entrees which were simple burgers. We even witnessed a cook running food wearing a "run DMC" t-shirt with stains all over it. The last few times we have eaten here the service has been VERY poor with the exception of the last time we came when we were waited on by Shaina. She was the only reason we came back because we thought the service had turned around. We were wrong, the menu is very confusing and far too big chili's is trying to do to much and the service suffers because of it. As a server we are trained to greet no more than 10 minutes and that is an extreme circumstance. (at cracker barrel) We are also trained that our longest ticket from order taking to food on the table is 14 minutes and that is for a well done steak average ticket times are less than 10 minutes and this is during peak dinner time. We were not at chili's during peak dinner time and had our meals out in over 12 minutes not even served by our waitress but by the manager... i timed it on my watch because i could not believe how poor the service was. Not to mention the prices at chili's seem to never stop going up every time i go in and yet the portions keep getting smaller and smaller..can someone please explain this? At cracker barrel the most expensive meal is the steak and that is no more than 13 dollars a 10 oz steak at chili's is 18 dollars..???? and you dont get the 3 sides and unlimited biscuits and corn bread that you would receive from cracker barrel. it will be a VERY long time before i go back to chili's and if i can help it never the location...

I almost never write reviews- and for the record, this is probably my first positive review I've ever written.

My deepest thanks and appreciation goes out to the entire crew (FOH and BOH) and manager(s?) at this location (particularly on Friday night, 8/31/24)~9 p.m.

I got a to-go order (3 for me) at around 8:50, and although the time estimate for the food to be ready was 9:20 at the earliest, the food was ready at around 9:05- even before I arrived to the restaurant.

I worked in food for a couple years, so I understand that Friday night is one of the busiest times for any food establishment.

Regardless of them being swamped, the quality of the service and food were still amazing.

Just as a note, I got a 3 for me (old timer, fries, strawberry lemonade, chips/salsa, and baked potato soup).

Some positive things I immediately noticed when I opened up my togo order when I got home were:

The entire order was given to me in the cardboard box instead of the usual plastic container (which I like). The fries AND chips were fantastic, crispy, and oil tasted fresh. The burger was clean(very pretty/well made), juicy, and wrapped in paper. The salsa tasted better(which I don't understand why, but it did). Soup had a better consistency.

The individual I spoke to even offered to remake the drink I had because I wanted no ice (even though they were busy).

So thanks again to everyone this Friday night, y'all deserve alot of recognition from the person above the GM.

I went to this Chili’s 3 days ago and it was my first genuinely my worst experience there and it is disappointing because the service at this establishment is normally on point but this time it wasn’t. Usually Sundays are busy (people from church go there) but this Sunday it wasn’t even busy, only half of the building was being used for customers yet the service was extremely slow. We were seated immediately however no waiter came to take our orders or ask us for what we wanted to drink for 40 minutes, so we literally had to pull some other waitress to get our orders. We had ordered chips with our food but they didn’t even manage to bring the chips out until we asked and this was 5 minutes after we had gotten our food (35 minutes). Our waitress however (was standing off to the side view where you go to the bathroom) was just texting on her phone in 5 minute intervals many times (i don’t know if she was mentally stable at that moment because a few minutes after we were seated some old woman yelled at her; and maybe she was trying to text someone to comfort her idk). Anyway the area I was sitting in was extremely dirty, the floor was covered in food and I was sitting at a booth and managed to get ketchup and a large lump of someone’s chicken crispers suck to the bottom of my shoes. I feel somewhat bad for the waiters because they may have possible been understaffed because it was 4 waiters for half the building idk but even my food came out cold and it was an awful 2...
