Oak St. Drafthouse and Cocktail Parlor — Restaurant in Denton

My experience here was fantastic. I was served by Konnie Keanu and he was amazing. He's a beautiful Spanish with chestnut- brown eyes and an angelic smile like that of a Disney prince. I once saw him hulk-flex and bust out of a very nice button-down shirt.

Then there was Lyon Shark. He really handsomes-up the joint when he's there. Is that why he only works every 11-14 days? Just too good-looking?

Fun Kara made an appearance that night as well. Kinda odd that she was celebrating her half birthday but I'm not gonna tell anyone how to party. She's the absolute sweetest of hearts.

I also met Double Doore. Really laid back dude with a ton of interesting hobbies. I have to admit, though, it was difficult to maintain eye contact with him as I kept taking quick glances at the front of his pants. Seriously, what kind of underwear is strong enough to keep that thing in place?

Picnic Bear is one of the managers of this establishment and he runs a good shop. A charming jovial dude who is always ready to work and lives to take care of his cub. Has a hard time with the top shelf.

Had Dreads in High School is another guy taking charge of the OSDH and lemme tell ya; you will rarely meet a guy that lives to serve and support others like him. Definitely used to have a six-pack.

Smarty Curls Reads A Lot is always good for a decent story and a well-made cocktail. Probably one of the smartest guys you could have the opportunity to meet. Careful admiring his dimples. if you stare too long you begin to hear music.

Heart Throbbie is one of their newer additions. Hilarious dude with a genuine sense of humor and a warm, welcoming demeanor. Helps Picnic Bear with that top shelf issue.

FloRida Talk A Lot brings a stellar energy to the place. If you can't hear her she's not there.

And then we got T-Lips Kid. TLK is probably one of the most thoughtful individuals in the world. The man has devoted his adulthood to the betterment of the people and community around him. Charity and generosity do little to describe the depth of his heart and the care to his people. I once asked him; "Hey, TLK, you wanna shot?" and he was like "Si." I love to see that more and more business owners are recognizing the importance of being bilingual.

So I went here with my friend Emily for the first time on Thursday night 7-12-18 ; I have never been to this establishment before and when we walked in I ordered 3 shots of fireball, and my friend ordered a mixed drink.

The bartender didn’t ask for my friends ID but asked for mine ( I’m 24 she is 22) I give it to him. He then proceeds to ask where is our third friend ? And we said it’s just us. He then says you ordered three shots. And I said yeah they are for me. And he said no you can have one. Confused, I said why? And with the most CONDESCENDING voice said “I MAKE THE DRINKS I MAKE THE RULES”. He swiped my card and said again with a condescending voice , have a good night. So I take my shot in front of him put my glass back on the counter and walked to the back patio. My friend finished her mixed drink and when we left, I went back to the bartender and politely asked for my receipt. He looked at me like I was dumb and asked for my name. I gave it to him and he asked if I wanted to close my tab. To which I responded you never asked me if I wanted to even open a tab. I wanted to pay for the ONE shot. He swiped my card and that was it. He ignored me , so I said Please close my tab , and give me my receipt. There were people behind me , so I signed my receipt and wrote on the bottom that he was rude and has LOST my business.

Great environment for college students and parents alike! The beer selection is phenominal and is respectively served in its proper glass for optimum enjoyment. Cocktails here are crafted with care as well (I would suggest the Moscow Mule. My wifes favorite and I hear it ordered time and time again by most patrons). This establishment has an inviting outdoor patio that cannot be beat on beautiful north Texas days. And as a father of 4 kids under the age of 10, i feel comfortable with bringing my kids along to hangout and play some board games we bring along or they will play ping pong that is outside if the table is available. OSDH&CP is food friendly and allows you to bring your eats from home or the local restaurants. I would suggest "The Mellow Mushroom" Pizza right around the corner because of its great selections. On an ending note, if your dog gets along with others and can be in crowded environments, bring them along on a leash to sit...
