Baker Market is a classic local business.

Nestled at the corner of 4th and Galapago in the Historic Baker Neighborhood of Denver, the market has all the daily necessities. From coffee and tea, to fresh produce and household items, to candy and beverages, to spices and a Deli for fresh foods, it has everything one would need.

I ordered the bacon breakfast croissant. My companion ordered the Baker Salad. Both hearty and delicious and made with care. There is a nice, enclosed outdoor seating area in the back. And clean restrooms.

The overall market was clean, had very kind and attentive staff, and the prices were reasonably priced. There is definitely room for expansion if necessary as time passes.

It's nice to have a local, community-based business in the neighborhood. Visit often. You'll be...

Ordered a cheese sandwich on croissant, very basic. It took a very long time to order, like explain how to make a sandwich. No cheese on the first one with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mustard. No big deal, just add the cheese I ordered, provolone and swiss. They insisted on remaking the entire sandwich, no idea why.

I got the new sandwich and it was exactly the same with one slice of sweaty american cheese. Disgusting. Both versions were tossed into the trash.

Also ordered the Cobbler, which reads well. It was bland, and pedestrian at best. Nothing memorable, except LOTS of mayo.

The kombucha was really good; nobody at the deli made it.

There is something really off with this place, and I have no idea how they’re in business, much less the rave reviews.

Definitely...

We are blessed to be neighbors next to this wonderful new market that has popped up in our Baker Neighborhood. We absolutely love this place and the owner who runs it. I order an egg sandwich and breakfast burrito daily. They have the perfect variety of groceries and produce including organic brands that are more health conscious than you would find in your typical market. They go the extra mile to be thoughtful in adding character to their variety of choices including Sweet Action Ice Cream and getting their breakfast burritos in town from a unique partner that makes them fresh daily. We LOVE this place and hope the rest of our neighborhood shows lots of love so we can keep it around for a...

One of the things I miss most about NYC are the "bodegas." I don't miss them really for their convenience but rather for their quality. You want something quick, easy and good, you naturally know where to go! But that is a culture unique to NYC and hard to find outside of it. Until, to my surprise, I found this gem in Baker! Sadly, so few neighborhoods in Denver are blessed but Baker is certainly worthy of being so! This market stands up to its name. Has a wide selection of go-to food items but definitely check out the menu! I had the Italian roast beef but can't wait to try the chicken panini. This place is a staple!

Updating to 5 stars. This seems to be what burritos are going for these days, compared to regular cafe and coffee shops in Denver. —————— How can I give it 5 for food, service, atmosphere but still only 4 stars? It’s expensive. At $7.75 ($9 with tax and a small tip), it’s just a LOT to spend on a small-ish burrito. Tasty snack, but $9? Is it better than Santiago’s or Araujo’s? Yes, it is, but not 3x better. Cute little spot, nice patio (at least in the morning - looks like it could get hot later in the day). Nice service etc Will come back for coffee instead!
